We are seeking a strong Storage Administrator/System Engineer in Hong Kong to join and support our client's team . This person will be working as member of APAC IT storage to manage storage related projects and provide level 3 operational support in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Management

• Support projects in APAC regions that are managed by APAC storage team
• Maintain configuration standards and design guidelines for storage systems, management systems and required software.
• Provide technical assistance to deployment teams.
• Maintain, adhere, and improve the standard operating procedures followed in the bank.
• Perform storage resource allocations and migrations when required complying the process.

Business relationships

• Communicate with APS, business, and other ITP teams during different project stages.

Governance

• Support storage vulnerability, baseline checking and storage hardening
• Produce health-check/dashboard/security compliance report as required

Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of system support experience on enterprise storage platform.
• Expertise in EMC PMAX/VMAX, ECS, Pure Storage, NetApp, Brocade SAN switches, and CleverSafe.
• Strong knowledge of storage management, including volume/file system management, data migration, snapshots, and replication.
• Experience in storage upgrades and hands-on with code upgrades.
• Project management experience will be a plus

Specific Qualifications preferred

• SAN management at intermediate to advanced level
• NAS management at intermediate to advanced level
• Object storage management at intermediate to advanced level
• ITIL foundation for service management

Job Scope:

• Provide technical support to customers for software, hardware, and application-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve product or system issues reported by clients.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and setup of software or systems.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to report bugs and suggest product improvements.
• Document support cases, solutions, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) for internal use and customer reference.
• Perform product demonstrations and training sessions for customers.
• Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or engineers.
• Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities to identify potential issues.
• Assist with product updates, upgrades, and patches.
• Maintain knowledge of product features, updates, and industry trends to offer relevant technical advice.
• Generate technical reports and user manuals or documentation as needed.
• Ensure effective communication between customers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, Industrial, or Mechatronics
• Entry-level candidates welcome, no experience required
• Passion for automation, creative and adaptive mindset
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
• Product training provided
• Knowledge of PLC, Control/Automation, and IoT is a plus
• 1–2 years of experience preferred

• Min Diploma in Computer Science or relevant Degree qualification in a related discipline
• Strong working experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• 4 years of relevant working experience
