The Role

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization
• Ensure company comply with business and employment law
• Overseeing all business transactions and operations comply with the corporate internal policies
• Provide legal support with regards to arbitration, litigation, and adjudication matters
• Work closely with the legal head office on all legal issues
• Work with external legal firms whenever necessary
• Stay up-to-date on local company laws and regulations
• Provide legal training and sharing to employees
• Being company representative to deal with government agencies on all legal matters
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Law (LL.B) or equivalent
• At least 5 - 8 years of legal experience, preferably with commercial/ corporate exposure
• Prior working knowledge in FIDIC, PAM, REDAS, PSSCO, or SIA will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of legal system or regulations with SEA region will be ideal
