Job Description

Primarily responsible for business development which includes achieving his/her location’s
Key Result Areas (KRAs) as determined by Agency Management

· Responsible for overseeing the success of his/her location’s sales activities and
managing the overall production numbers together with his/her SDOA.

· Strategic and Operational Alignment. Roll out strategic plans of company to agency
force and align agency leader’s goals and expectations accordingly. To minimize the
gap between management and agency force.

· Driving the company’s key initiatives and growth by working together with the SDOA
to strategize and plan for location sales activities and programs

· Develop positive business relationships with relationship with assigned agency
groups and internal stakeholders.

· Liaise with Operational teams for underwriting, after sales supports.

Job Requirements

· Education – Degree Holder Experience

· Preferably with at least 3 years working experience in relevant industry.

· Sales experiences in insurance/investment sales is preferred

· Certifications/licenses – CMFAS M5, M9, M9A, HI Special skills preferred

· Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word & PowerPoint

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task

· Sharp business acumen, adaptable and team player

The position is responsible for supporting the Business Underwriting and Portfolio team in Corporate Solutions division. Responsibilities include pricing for group insurance policies, product development, portfolio management and benefit advisory to clients and intermediaries to support the divisions overall business strategic and financial goals.

The role holder will liaise with internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Finance, Actuarial and Group Office. External stakeholders include intermediaries, reinsurers, industry associations and regulators.

Responsibilities:

Pricing and Product Development

• Determine pricing for employee benefits insurance products in accordance with the company’s underwriting standards, with the objective to minimize excess risks and maximize profits and retention. This includes regular review and monitoring to ensure portfolio profitability remains in line with best estimate assumptions.
• Developing new products and enhancements to existing products in line with company’s product standards. This includes refreshing pricing assumptions, pricing tools and conducting regular experience analysis.

Management Reporting

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of management reports. This includes internal reports for decision making by local and group management, and regulatory and industry reports submitted to MAS / LIA.
• Perform analysis on financial indicators and performance metrics and provide inputs for business and strategy planning

Tableau Dashboards

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards that provide quality management information to support business monitoring, decision-making and business strategy

Reinsurance Management and Administration

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports for reinsurance and pool administration, including preparing regulatory and industry reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in the review, negotiation, and analysis of reinsurance treaties
• Support the review of treaty documentation and ensure adherence to Group guideline

Requirements:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies / Business or Data Analytics / Mathematics & Statistics
• Experience – 2 to 7 years of working experience in Actuarial / Group Insurance (Employee Benefits) / Data analytics / Management reporting / Other business support functions involved in working with large and complex datasets
• Certifications – Professional actuarial qualification from a recognized international actuarial body with good progress towards qualification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
• Proficient with SQL and at least one programming language
• Experience with BI tools, e.g. Tableau, Quickview, Power BI, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work both independently and within a team
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities within tight timelines

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Contribute actively and drive key enterprise strategic projects by leading certain strategic initiatives and ensuring that the overall project objectives are met.

· Support the review of special strategic projects or opportunities that arise, e.g. including but not limited to, strategic partnerships, or other inorganic growth strategy.

· Monitor the progress of the key strategic initiatives as part of the regular updates provided to EXCO.

· Support the strategic planning process, lead collaboration with various divisions to ensure quality and timeliness of their submissions, including preparation of materials to facilitate reviews by senior management team and enable clear communication of the Strategic Plan.

· Work closely with various divisions, and support the senior management on the necessary business performance analysis to enable meaningful discussion and formulation of strategic initiatives by EXCO.

· Keep abreast of key market trends, risks and opportunities.

· Perform in-depth competitor analysis, industry benchmarking and research for timely periodic communication to EXCO and Group

· Support the preparation of communication materials on the business performance highlights for the company that will be used for various purposes, such as results announcement, staff and agency events.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Degree in Finance or Actuarial or other related professional qualification

· Minimum 10 years of financial management / strategic planning experience and a proven successful track record, ideally in a high growth business environment

· Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial field, demonstrated experience in budget and profitability management

· Strong understanding of insurance business management, ideally in the management of non-financial functions such as product development, operations or distribution

· Able to work independently and in a team, as well as being proactive and constantly striving for excellence

· Able to communicate and influence effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

• Support and collaborate with Sales location team (SDOAs/BDMs) to achieve business goals by conducting district engagement, training the BDMs and provide data and insights that will enhance the overall Agency and FA experiences

• Drive and manage various initiatives and strategic partnership to increase active agent and sales productivity. This includes Life in Group and Worksite Marketing, lead generation activities for districts, etc.

• Support division as business user representative for Digital Tools that increases active agents and sale productivities

• Support enterprise objective of holistic financial planning, new agent acquisition and training.

• Build and maintain effective partnerships with leaders, key stakeholders and internal team within BIO to manage change and drive initiatives

• Provide regular communication and updates to senior management and various stakeholders and problem-solve issues as they arise.

End to End Project Execution: Initiatives / Projects as defined are implemented as per schedule timeline and budget to drive the following financial Metric:

1) New Business Sales, measure in VONB, ANP

2) Activity, measured in Active New Agent, Active Existing Agent, Activity Ratio, Management of GOE

3) Manpower, measured in Total Inforce, New Agent.

Assigned project to drive long term improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder with 5-7 years’ experience in insurance or financial industry. Experiences in agency management and sales essential. Other experiences in business planning, implementation and transformation programmes is valuable.

• Entrepreneurial experience is valued.

• Proven and demonstrable ability in applying business intelligence to drive on the ground execution of sales initiatives.

Responsible to provide operational support to distribution channel(s) to ensure smooth execution of the sales process

Responsibilities:

1. Managing and review all 3rdparty Tie-up & Leads Generation activities.

• Review 3rd Party Tie-up & Leads Generation Business Proposal submitted by organizing leaders.
• To conduct due diligence check for all 3rd party tie-up.

2. Conduct monitoring on introducer sales and marketing activities

· To utilise platform to conduct social media monitoring on introducers and districts sales and marketing activities.

· To identify any unapproved marketing materials and escalate for further follow up.

3. Reviewing of collaterals and marketing materials

· Ensure that the marketing materials are in accordance to the Company’s checklist and requirement.

· To work with other internal stakeholders to conduct review of marketing materials and ensure review completed within the TAT.

· To issue approval code once all internal stakeholders’ queries has been completed.

4. Managing and support engaging of Appointment Setting Officer and matters pertaining to CPF Medisave Liabilities

· Review application and sent for screening before seeking approval on the engagement of Appointment Setting Officers.

· Liaise with IT for request of new logger / Spidergate enable phone / retrieval account.

· Maintain register for audit purposes.

· Liaise with CPF Board, provide in-force listing on monthly basis for computation of Medisave Liabilities

• Review defaulter list provided by CPF Board, prepare letters and communicate to location sales teams to follow up
• Liaise with Finance Department for deduction of Medisave Liabilities

5. Managing and Support Application for Span of Control Deviation for Tied Distribution

• Review application received, sent for screening to ensure meeting the requirement before seeking approval
• Conduct annual assessment on SOC Deviation to ensure that they continue to adhere to the prescribed standards of deviation.

6. Ad-hoc Tasks

To assist in any other ad-hoc projects that requires Department’s involvement

Requirements:

• Education – Tertiary education
• Experience – At least 2 to 5 years of experience in life insurance industry
• Familiar with MAS’ Financial Advisers Act (FAA), relevant notices, regulations, and guidelines; LIA Guidelines, Product Knowledge and Company’s procedures and process will be an added advantage.
• Communication skills, Problem Solving skills, Influencing skills, Strategic Thinking, Coaching, Presentation skills and Facilitation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Application (E.g. Excel-Vlookup)

About the Role

Optimise business processes and lead change initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with various internal teams to understand current processes, identify areas for improvement, implement solutions and drive measurable results.

What you will do:

• Support Head of Department in organisational change activities and implementing changes.
• Undertake BAU tasks/roles on short term and rotational basis to better understand business processes, platforms and associate systems.
• Perform impact analysis/gap assessment by gathering info from users and from relevant local regulations and guidelines.
• Coordinate / support BAU small process, forms and system changes.
• Extract data and perform data analysis for business decisions and change justifications.
• Work with relevant stakeholders, process owners, developers, vendors on process improvement initiatives. Challenge status quo.
• Evaluate the change requirements and develop implementation plans. This includes change-impact-analysis, change readiness, UAT, training, capability transfer etc.
• Conduct briefings/workshops to familiarise process owners on new processes. Includes drafting, updating and oversight on SOP updates and controls setup/review with new changes.
• Prepare communications on change to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Business IT or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in operational excellence or process/workflow.
• Knowledge of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis would be an advantage.
