General Purpose of Position:

The role will support the Executive Director by providing analytical and planning advice for areas such as strategic planning, business development, fund-raising, corporate communications, and corporate services.

Strategic Planning

• Supports the ED in driving successful implementation of strategic initiatives of CRL, through supervision of the role’s functional areas.
• Formulate plans, initiatives, and measures within functional areas to support the implementation of CRL’s strategies.
• Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress.
• Identify trends and emerging issues that impact strategies and, where necessary, recommend alternative courses of action to the ED.

Business Development & Fund-Raising

• Perform strategic reviews of available opportunities, conduct assessments to determine alignment with corporate strategy, and provide recommendations to the ED on pursuing opportunities further.
• Actively source, reach, contact, and build relationships with potential leads and future donors and manage those relationships through organizing events, updating reports, etc.
• Formulate fundraising strategies and produce and update collaterals such as donor updates and reports.
• Manage the overall fundraising process, such as organizing fundraising activities, preparing pitch materials, supporting the due diligence process, and monitoring the performance of fundraising campaigns.

Corporate Services

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators and performance management reviews and prepare progress reports for BOD meetings.
• Track the progress of work plans and support efforts to improve and streamline existing management reporting tools.
• Expand CRL’s marketing communications efforts, focusing on creating brand awareness and enhancing understanding of our service offerings.
• Develop strategies and action plans by observing new/ developing trends and needs and initiating and developing new processes/structures to address changing needs.
• Oversee and manage the financial function, including supervising the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and projections.
• Ensure procedures and reports comply with regulations.
• Oversee and manage the HR function, including payroll, recruitment, learning and development, compensation, and performance management.
• ensure that CRL’s internal control and governance measures comply with relevant regulations and requirements.

What a Director, Business Planning Operations, AP Corporate Communications does at Visa:  

Reporting to SVP, AP Head Corporate Communication, the Director, Business Planning and Operations (BPO) of the AP Corporate Communication function will be responsible for business and workforce planning, strategy development and execution, budget management, management and control of the strategic project portfolio, provision of business support to markets, including enhancing business processes to maximize internal and in-market performance.     

This role is a key member of the AP Corporate Communication team, working closely with both hub and in market leads to facilitate planning, strategy and reporting activities. This role is the key liaison between global Corporate Communication function and the region, as well as a key member of the regional BPO network.  This role requires sound commercial and strategic mindset, as well as strong organizational and influencing skills to ensure its successful delivery, as it involves working closely with the various functional teams and subject matter experts across the organization in the AP Region.

In this role, you are expected to:

Business / Strategy

• Lead the AP Corporate Communication group in business planning, strategy development, drive effective leadership and operations through management of key business processes.
• Manage the tracking, reporting and analysis of AP Corporate Communication metrics and targets, and recommend changes or initiatives to achieve goals as necessary
• Manage and drive key strategic projects, which typically require cross-functional collaboration from initiation to execution, ensuring alignment with organization, business and market priorities
• Enhance the effectiveness of the AP Corporate Communication team by pursuing initiatives and process enhancements identified during annual planning sessions, quarterly and monthly business reviews
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support as necessary
   

Planning / Operational

• Oversee the Annual Operating Plan and annual OKR / goal setting process ensuring that hub and market goals are aligned with AP Corporate Communication strategy
• Develop an effective tracking mechanism that monitors progress towards the agreed targets and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and generate regular AP Corporate Communication dashboards, provide support in preparation of presentation materials for business review
• Continue to review, enhance business process to drive greater efficiency and share best practices within AP Corporate Communication and Global Corporate Communication
• Manage multi-year planning across AP Corporate Communication Collaborate with Finance Business Partner to drive quarterly forecasting and annual operating plan
• Manage AP Corporate Communication team townhalls and offsites agenda/content
• Project-manage large-scale events that AP Corporate Communication is responsible such as APMK, Client Events (on the agenda and content perspective, not events organization), as well as program manage regional communication campaigns

• To maximize sales earnings and profitability by winning new clients, achieved by successful implementation of the sales plan.  On-going contribution to the continued improvement of the sales and marketing team through the development of documentation and processes that support short, medium and long term sales and marketing strategies.
• Required to market and sell IQ-EQ services and business development across Asia
• Win new business prospects by creating, refining and implementing Asia sales strategy.
• Manage and develop the new business sales process, procedures and related documentation.
• Lead relationships with third parties (lawyers, accountants, placement agents, financial advisers, valuation providers, bankers, etc.).
• Manage and refine marketing strategy including promotional activities such as mailshots and press releases.
• Represent IQ-EQ at industry seminars, networking events and conferences.

The Role Responsibilities

Supports the Global Head of Corporate Coverage CIB’s office as the Business Planning manager for Corporate Coverage including Global Subsidiaries, and will be responsible globally in driving business performance and results through 1) Business reviews & sales enablement, 2) Client portfolio management and proposition, 3) People agenda and frontline communication, 4) Business strategy execution and project management and 5) supporting discussions and decision-making at various forums / committees

Business Performance (Revenues and Returns)

· Analysis of Revenues and Returns for Corporate Coverage

· Preparation of performance presentations for various stakeholders

· Tracking performance to budget and identifying risks and opportunities to delivering the targeted business performance and improve productivity

· Manage Client Coverage cost budgets and cost centres in close coordination and with the support from HR and Finance.

· Review and track frontline productivity using a standardised approach. Identify areas for improvement.

· Help defining, driving and tracking Sub-Optimal reduction plans, including expected impact on P&L.

Business Strategy & Project Management

· Ensure MT’s & Business Development (where relevant) execution support requirements are met as articulated in the business strategy, objectives and as subsequently identified as priorities in response to changing circumstances

· Execute plans to optimise people, processes and systems

· Ensure frontline awareness of key operational changes impacting clients, RMs and the broader client teams
