Business Development Executive (FAD)
1. Job Description
1.1 Assist HOD/Department Manager in the Marketing and Technical management of
Commercial Lines portfolio to achieve sustainable and profitable growth
1.2 Develop New Business and service existing Intermediary business.
· Identify and develop Tier 2 and new producers.
· Improve penetration rates with current supportive producers.
1.3 Implement and coordinate marketing projects and initiatives to achieve targets
1.4 Regular visitations to intermediaries to build good rapport and identify new business
opportunities
1.5 Provide quotations on risks within authority and underwriting guidelines; and follow up on the status of quotations until closure
1.6 To review and follow up on all renewal policies to secure renewal business
1.7 Coordinate with internal departments claims, finance, IT and underwriting on related issues.
1.8 Assist in preparation of statistics and reports to track and monitor business
1.9 Any other projects and tasks as assigned
EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
2.1 Mandatory: Certification in General Insurance (CGI) and Health Insurance (HI)
2.2 Diploma/Tertiary education and/or ACII or other insurance diploma is a plus
3. EXPERIENCE & ANY SPECIFIC SKILLS SET REQUIRED
3.1 Minimum 3 years of experience in general insurance servicing and/or underwriting commercial lines products
3.2 Positive, team-player and service-oriented attitude;
3.3 Good communication and presentation skills
