About the Position

As a Business Development Executive here at BM Safety Singapore, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s growth strategy in the automation and industrial safety system industry.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing and managing client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth targets.
• Business Opportunities Identification: Identify potential partners, customers, and sectors for growth, with a focus on Safety, Automation and Industrial sectors in Southeast Asia.
• Client Relationship Management: Establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and trust-building through proactive engagement.
• Project Management Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure successful project execution, align goals, and support product customization based on client needs.
• Sales and Negotiation: Lead sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations to secure contracts, manage pricing discussions, and close deals that align with company objectives.
• Brand Positioning and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing to develop initiatives that increase brand visibility and recognition in target markets, leveraging knowledge of Southeast Asian culture and market dynamics.
• Reporting and Metrics: Monitor, report, and analyze key performance metrics related to sales growth, client acquisition, and market expansion. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and challenges.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the safety and automation sector. Experience in the relevant industries is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of Industrial automation and safety sector, relevant applications, and market trends.
• Track Record: Proven track record in managing complex sales cycles and achieving targets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skill
• Independance: Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other Southeast Asian languages is a plus, given the target market.
• Location & Travel: Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia to meet clients, attend industry events, and support project rollouts as required.

Job responsibilities:

• Strategise with business line leaders for key client opportunities and revenue opportunities for the Singapore business
• Drive strategic and business development meetings
• To hit sales target and secure new projects
• To work closely with Interior Designers and Architects.
• Work closely with dealers to close the orders.
• Develop new business, new market development of an assigned business division in Singapore
• Attend preliminary sales and site meetings-to obtain drawings and design brief from the client

Requirements:

• Min 3 years of sales experience in interior fit-out/retail fit-out.
• Have good contacts with Interior Designers, Architects, and Main Contractors, Direct client & etc.
• Prefer relevant experience in commercial Projects
• Strong Personality Trait, fast proactive, ambitious, strong initiatives.
