The BNYM Implementation Lead/Oversight Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire transformation for our client’s Middle Office (Investment Services and Data Management) as part of Project New Star.

The BNYM Implementation Lead/Oversight Project Manager will be a highly skilled project manager that has led large components of a complex middle office transformation in the Asia region.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the Middle Office Transformation including overseeing all requirements gathering, analysis and documentation of client onboarding projects within all in-scope entities for the client (~17 countries).
• Support Programme Workstream Owner(s) in planning, and designing the project plans and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Lead the effective adoption of the chosen target operating models that impacts, alters or enhances the Middle office Trade Capture and Trade Matching/Settlement Operating Model through detailed analysis, design, testing, and training rolled out for proposed solutions.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders from across the wider New Star Programme, as well as business stakeholders and third-party vendors.
• Monitor the performance of third-party vendors and their ability to deliver the scope of services agreed with the client, escalate issues to leadership as required.
• Appropriately assess risk when project decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for our client’s reputation, the LBUs and assets, by driving compliance with applicable client’s policies, rules and regulations
• Ensure that the agreed project deliverables are delivered on time, to scope and within budget.
• Manage the scope of a project and if a change is required, Project Managers are to work with Programme Workstream Owners to execute the New Star change process to manage any alteration in scope, resource and/or budget.
• Perform risk management activities to minimise project risks by proactively raising risks and issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relevant fields.
• 17 to 20 years of direct project, programme management and delivery experience, focusing on complex technical-related outcomes. Notably worked on large complex middle office, investment operations and technology transformations
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability and experience to operate under stress where time is critical
• The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project team and with third party vendors
• Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes.
• Excellent multi-vendor management skills
• Good knowledge of programme and project management methods, including MSP, PRINCE2, PMQ, and PMP. In addition, knowledge of Agile and Scrum will be of benefit.
• Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise the Programme Owners and project team members.
• The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
• Proven experience setting up programmes for success; proven expertise in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality.
• Knowledge of Programme and project management in a portfolio or as part of a programme environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Professional in charge of commissioning the OTSAW Products including but not limited to Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform commissioning of OTSAW Products from system setup to route mapping and product operations testing.
• Execute upgrade and modification requests for an existing hardware or system via remote or on-site support.
• Train the Product Operators and Service Team in operating a newly setup system, equipping them with product operations and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Prepare and submit the User Acceptance Test, Progress Report, Project Report and other Operations related documents whenever necessary.
• Escalate critical concerns to Lead Project Engineer for prompt resolution, ensuring operational continuity.
• Execute tasks on behalf of the Robotics Operations Team, contributing to streamlined operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Project Engineer to align objectives and achieve team goals.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related fields is preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related fields is required.
• Possessing a relevant certificate or license is preferred.
• Proven work experience as Project Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background in engineering or technology industry.
• Familiarity with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in mechanical/electrical hardware installation, setup and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in system/network installation, setup and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ElcoCAD and any other design and planning software.
• Familiarity of LINUX (Ubuntu) System and software troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical / electrical prints and other related technical documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of equipment, tools and components used in the industry.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally on short notice.
• Ability to work independently and remain professional under pressure.
• Possession of a valid driving license is preferred.

· Coordinate all business development activities between Asia-Pacific Regional Headquarters (APRHQ) and Group Companies / Branch offices in the APAC regions.

· Collaborate with business development team in the Group Companies / Branch offices to develop / cultivate “Business development infrastructure”.
