Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.

In 2021, Enterprise Singapore, the national standards body for Singapore, had appointed ERI@N as a Standards Development Organisation (SDO) to develop and promote standards under the Electrical and Electronic Standards Committee. Core expertise:

Project management responsibilities include managing the identification, development and promotion of standards meeting key requirements set by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). • Assist Head, SDO and colleagues to manage the SDO budget to ensure budget marksmanship are met.

The School of Materials Science and Engineering is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join us as a Project Officer (PO). The PO will join an MOE funded project led by Prof Ng Kee Woei. The project aims to upcycle keratinous waste for the bioplastics development. The PO will be responsible to develop and optimize the formulation of keratin-based bioplastics, characterize the produced bioplastics and assess its biodegradation profile in soil.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough literature review and generate periodic updates
• Extract the keratin protein
• Formulate and optimize keratin-based bioplastics
• Characterize the keratin-based bioplastics properties (e.g. Mechanical strength, FTIR, SEM, degradability, permeability, water contact, etc.)
• Analyse and interpret research data
• Develop and optimize protocols
• Manage logistical issues and laboratory inventory.
• Participate in collaborative work within multidisciplinary team and external collaborators
• Assist the generation of periodic progress report as required by funding agency

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science/Chemistry/Environmental Engineering/Biology or related fields
• Experience in polymers, biomaterials research and material characterization required (e.g. Mechanical strength, FTIR, SEM, degradability, permeability, water contact, etc)
• Experience in environmental science and engineering will be a bonus
• Good communication and writing skills
• Good coordination/project management skills

Successful candidates will conduct research and develop advanced deep learning and computer vision algorithms. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in relevant areas.

• To independently undertake research in computer vision and machine learning.

Job Requirements:

Job Description:

1. Demand Planning

• Lead in the operations planning process and collaborate with multiple functions within the organization like the Planning team, Marketing & Sales, Operations, Customer Service to ensure the availability of our products.

• Prepare inventory replenishment plan, present to country presidents and customer service to confirm and launch.

• Enter distribution order (DO) in ERP, work with planners and shipping executives to ship to regional warehouses.
