• Manage Customer Requests:

  First point of contact for customers regarding Sales Support requests:

• • Handle information, documentation, questionnaires, enter CRM cases regulatory/quality requests and follow up including reminders.
  • Handle incoming communication (telephone calls, mails, requests, …), forward messages to the right people according to priorities, secure follow-up and check deadlines.

It is expected that the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as a CSA project engineer on data centre projects and/or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field complies with such documents.  The candidate must have robust Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with previous experience working as a MEP Project Engineer on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field comply with such documents.  The candidate must have strong Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the MEP Manager and Preconstruction Managers, develop the complete scope of work for assigned trades and ensure that all scope gaps are assigned appropriately
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the MEP scope delineation matrix

• Develop and maintain a procurement log for each individual equipment, system, and material and ensure that all submittals are prepared by the subcontractor and reviewed by the engineering team to leave enough time for lead time procurement
• Coordinate and prepare RFIs with the subcontractors and manage the engineering team to ensure the issues are properly understood and the response is timely
• Ensure that managed subcontractor's work is coordinated through design, preconstruction, shop-drawing production, field installation, testing, startup, and commissioning 
• Work with subcontractors to develop and maintain internal schedules and ensure that all proper elements are tracked on a weekly basis
• In conjunction with the OFCI, QAQC and Commissioning managers, develop OFCI equipment delivery sequences, installation procedures, QAQC checklists, startup and commissioning procedures
• Actively participate in all 5 levels of commissioning:
  • Level 1 - Attend select Factory Witness Testing
  • Level 2 - Ensure subcontractor development of equipment receipt and installation procedures.
  • Level 3 - Develop with subcontractor flush and fill procedures, coordinate vendor support, track startup progress.
  • Level 4 - Coordinate subcontractor and vendor support
  • Level 5 - Coordinate subcontractor and vendor support
• Manage the design deliverable packages and aid in the process to ensure that they are reviewed on schedule
• Assist in the QAQC of the low voltage systems (BMS, Security & Fire Alarm)

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our project team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical systems within our data centre construction team. Reporting to the Electrical Construction Manager, the candidate will be accountable for insuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for Electrical Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Electrical Construction Manager who is managing the Electrical Subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with previous experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating approved design documents and insuring installed work in the field are in compliance with such documents.  The candidate must have strong Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability. 

Responsibilities Specific to the Role:

• Work intensively with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to coordinate all the Electrical trade work with other trades.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, Electrical systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.
• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and CSA subcontractors during construction.
• Work closely with the Electrical Construction Manager to lead the electrical subcontractor installation drawing approval process between the electrical subcontractor, Resident Engineer, Resident Technical Officer, Accredited Checker, and the Local Authority having Jurisdiction, and Assist in the receipt and review of all electrical submittals.
• Log and post all electrical changes and as-built information on field drawings. Provide such information to VDC team so such information can be incorporated into the final virtual model.
• Ensure all information is current and communicated with Electrical/project team.
• Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment.
• Liaison with the Electrical engineering consultant, supervisory engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff.
• Implement the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. cloud-based QA/QC program for the Electrical scope of work.
• Ensure that Electrical Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ similar experiences as an Installation Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent.
• Have prior supervisory experiences to manage a team of installers or testers and subcontractors.
• Have strong technical knowledge of installation works of lifts and escalators products.
• Have knowledge of ISO procedures.
• Team player and results-oriented.
