Job Scope:

• Prepare materials for daily lessons, department noticeboard displays, regular department programmes such as competitions and external school activities, perform gardening duties related tonscience curriculum and provide support for ad-hoc science programmes
• Clean and organise science equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of science labs
• Manage and organise inventory list
• Provide logistical support in department and school programmes
• Support in administrative work, Microsoft applications - excel, word
• Able to keep calm and work in dynamic environment
• Assist with planting/greening activities held in eco-garden and it’s routine maintenance.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by HOD/LH-Science and/or Admin Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level
• Minimum 2 years of prior experience working in a primary school Science laboratory.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Excellent team-player who is organized and has good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Should preferably have worked with plants or involved in planting/greening activities to support teachers carrying out ecogarden maintenance.
• Takes initiative in completing assigned tasks and work independently

Working Arrangement:

· Mondays to Fridays: 7:15am to 4:15pm

· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

• Open and lock the doors and windows of laboratories to ensure safety and security
• Maintain general cleanliness of equipment and workspaces
• Maintain general cleanliness of school premises
• Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science Practical lessons
• Clean and maintain basic science laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials
