What’s the role?

Job Description:

• Efficiently understand business and market demands, actively participate in project initiation, planning, implementation, and tracking control to ensure that projects are developed and completed according to specified requirements.

Position in the organisation

The Product Manager of AC Split-type has a direct report to the Part Leader of Product Management.

Main goals of the position

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Room Air Conditioning (RAC) and Commercial Air Conditioning (CAC, FJM) product portfolio for Southeast Asia & Oceania. In this role, you will have opportunity to build the product strategy and drive the product innovation by owning both single & multi split product groups.

You will work closely with key stakeholders in the Southeast Asian & Oceanian subsidiaries and distributors, with Global Product Management, Product Planning and R&D in HQ and the Regional Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and Sales Planning departments.

We are looking for an experienced product enthusiast who takes ownership, is proactive and entrepreneurial, is able to communicate convincingly and work with cross-functional teams. This is a high visibility role within a fast-paced global company that will give you opportunities to learn and grow. The role is cross-functional and international. The position requires working closely with sales, engineering and operations to ensure effective delivery and support for products.

The Position

· Act as the RAC, CAC and FJM product champion by actualizing product vision and strategy

· Bring expertise and deep knowledge of market needs, identify even unspoken pain points and problems, sense industrial and regulatory requirements and product-market trend therefore potential to drive product innovation sustainable way

· Constantly evaluate and drive improvements in product strategy to expand sales growth and profitability

· Research in-depth market and competitor movements on ongoing basis and articulate actionable implications

· Lead ideation, solution creation and value positioning by leveraging technical acumen

· Conduct competitor benchmarking to compare product specification and price positioning

· Drive Product Portfolio Management (PPM) and Product Road Map (PRM) through optimal product mix and pricing strategies for profitable growth

· Provide critical inputs into New Product Development (NDP) / New Product Introduction (NPI) programs through the preparation phase, Voice of Customer (VOC) collection, and pilot projects for successful product launch as a liaison between local teams, the Regional Head Quarter, and Head Quarter in South Korea for alignment

The Profile

· Have Master’s Degree in Sciences or (Thermal/Mechanical) Engineering

· Have over 5 years of relevant Product Management/ Development experience in the air conditioning industry, you are the “expert” in indoor climate solutions of today and future
