Requirement:

• At least 2 years relevant experience in plant operation or manufacturing
• Process Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Process Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Plant Operations

• Identify root cause and troubleshoot production and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
• Provide technical support to ensure production line efficiency and reliability.
• Track and analyse machine and process parameters to provide feedback for problem resolution and to improve efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies, equipment criticality and risk assessments for production equipment and systems.

Plant Maintenance

• Maintain various technical documents/drawings such as equipment specifications, machine records, vendors list, spare parts list etc
• Interface with equipment vendors to understand maintenance requirements, spare parts availability and service contracts if any.
• Coordinate maintenance activities between different teams.
• Manage and upkeep plant critical spares

People

• Collaborate with production and tooling team to achieve targets, product quality, operational and productivity improvements.
• Ensure the use of safe work practices and behaviors.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and training to production team.

Other responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to QEHS requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Help with New Production Introduction tasks: develop manufacturing processes, design tools, create schedules, control costs, support sourcing, qualify quality, support tests, reduce product costs, and introduce products into the supply chain.
• Lead technical aspects of manufacturing processes for cables, harnesses, mechanical assemblies, inspections, and testing, including designing tools and fixtures.
• Utilise knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment production and testing methods.
• Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines to successfully complete and make projects profitable.
• Collect data and create manufacturing solutions and documents to support OMS, SOE, MI, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform assembly tasks and guide technicians/operators as needed.

Job Scope

• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in taking charge of all jobs whenever necessary and ensure delegation and coordination on the necessary works.
• Ensure that all budgets and plans are met.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to monitor and manage workshop loadings, direct labour hours, overtime, rework, scrap, on time deliveries, downtime, work efficiencies and ensure all measurements are within plans whenever necessary.
• Organize weekly production meeting to provide status update to all relevant departments and iron out related production issues.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to formulate shop floor production plans and optimize production hours and weekly planned hours ensuring on time delivery.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to identify the skill level of production employees and distribute suitable work tasks to achieve higher throughput whenever necessary.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to conduct annual performance appraisal for all reporting employees whenever necessary.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in resolving bottleneck situations and determining root cause, corrections and corrective actions for internal rejection and scrap.
• Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in initiating purchase requisition for any requirements and preparing monthly reports whenever necessary.

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in metal machining or oil & gas industry
