RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure in-house technicians and any contractors have met the workplace, safety & health and fire safety regulations upon carrying out any rectification or replacement work.
• Take charge of incidents during incipient stages before the arrival of appointed person.
• Familiarise with all emergency response, incident & crisis management and business continuity plans and procedures.
• Assist the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and Site Incident Controller (SIC) in conducting fire drills, evacuation exercise, disaster exercise, table-top exercise and manage real incidents.
• To conduct preliminary investigation on all reported incidents and submit the incident report by end of the day.
• In charge of FCC and supervise the daily operations.
• Manage all ACMV, Lighting, Fire Alarm System, EM Doors, Paging, Lift Monitor System, Carpark System, CCTV in the FCC.
• To delegate respective competent Technicians to carry out daily checks and repair works at every shift.
• To check, prepare and update accurate event technical requirements ACMV and Lighting during work shift and for the following day if required.
• Manage and operate building systems to achieve energy efficiency and water saving and 3 also to reduce & recycling of waste.
• To ensure that the CERT response appropriately and promptly to incidents and emergencies.
• Open to work on weekdays/weekends/public holidays (depending event requirements) when required.
• Any other duties as requested by Reporting Officer.

• Minimum NITEC in M&E Engineering and/or Building Services related fields.

Job Purpose

As a Facilities Management Executive, you will oversee the management of facilities of Strides Premier. Your primary responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive maintenance and daily operations to create a conducive and safe working environment. You will implement proactive measures to enhance maintenance standards and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Administration

• Liaise with stakeholders (Contractors/Sub-contractors/Authorities/etc) on building matters
• Lead and drive the tendering processes, evaluations, recommendations, and contract awards.
• Maintain policies and procedures for facility management, operations, and administration, ensuring proper documentation throughout.
• Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for on-site staff, when necessary.

The department oversees the physical development and maintenance of all University buildings and grounds in support of the academic, research and administrative functions of the University. As the Assistant Manager, Facilities Maintenance (External Infrastructure), you are responsible for the management and maintenance of external infrastructure in the Campus to ensure they are safe to use and functional at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise maintenance activities to ensure inspection programmes and preventive maintenance works for Campus’s external infrastructure and grounds are carried out as planned and in accordance with standards expected. Follow up promptly on corrective maintenance works to minimize downtime and maintain a safe environment.

• Manage and supervise planned and corrective maintenance programmes for electronic directory boards and speed advisory signs to ensure systems are in good working condition.

Oversee procurement of services, supervise work progress and ensure materials and workmanship meet standards. Review and track site progress through meetings and inspections to meet user’s project completion timeline.

• Identify improvement works, maintenance needs and cyclical maintenance programmes and derive budget required for new Financial Year.

• Oversee other tasks assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the Civil Engineering Industry

• Good knowledge in design, construction and maintenance of drain, road, culvert, linkways, slopes etc

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Self-motivated, positive working attitude and customer-oriented

• Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with different levels of people
