Job Requirements

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Biomedical Engineering
• Min. 1 year of working experience, preferably in hospital environment or engineering consultancy firm.
• Strong engineering knowledge.

• Able to travel outstation or overseas when required.
• Fluent in English.

Roles and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and carry out general servicing & repair of hearing aids and earmolds.
• Responsible for production of earmolds and custom-made hearing aids
• Scanning of ear impressions.
• Work closely with regional technical counterpart on product quality issues and control, maintenance, and processes.
• Support new product testing and quality check, update of part numbers and coordinate with technical trainers for product training.
• Work with respective stakeholders on repairs, technical and logistics concerns.
• Develop work instructions and standard operating procedure for new and existing lab equipment.
• Handle phone calls from customers on new orders and repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment through daily housekeeping inspections and adherence to lab safety practices.
• Ensure that all Laboratory equipment is well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Conduct lab analysis/retest, generate report and follow up on customers’ feedback.
• Actively takes part in operational reviews and continuously improve the quality system, safety & operational efficiency in the lab.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing and updating of repairs and new orders via in-house system.
• Ensure that all consumables are sufficient for daily operations.
• Undertake other job functions as and when assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• ITE / NITEC / Diploma in Electronics Engineering or its equivalent
• Experience in producing of custom moulds (e.g. hearing aids, earmoulds, dentures), soldering and repair of similar products is an added advantage.
• On-the-job training will be provided
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
• Good communication skills
• Innovative and enthusiastic in solving issues.
• Initiative and able to work independently.
• Team player with a Can-do attitude
• Computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
