• Liaise with external agents to manage and prepare transfer pricing documentation to support inter-company transactions in compliance with local regulations in the region.
• Analyze & set arm's length prices in accordance with transfer pricing documentation reports.
• Conduct regular internal review of transfer pricing policies in accordance with the latest tax regulation developments and manage transfer pricing audit where applicable.
• Analyze & plan business strategies relates to taxation.
• Support tax aspects of Group direct & indirect tax and ensure compliance with local country tax requirement.
• Act as internal business advisory on all tax matters for region, include both direct & indirect tax for the Group.
• Participate in project as and when assigned.
• Assist Group Tax Manager on ad-hoc group tax matters, and one of key tax contacts to support all tax compliance/advisory matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business or any related discipline
• Professional Qualification such as ACCA / CA / CPA
• Minimum 6 years of relevant transfer pricing experience in one of the Big 4 and/or MNC
• Good understanding of transfer pricing regulations & regional tax regimes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• SIATP accreditation will be an advantage

Job Description

This role will support the CHI laboratory (located in E8, NUS) to ensure smooth operation and safety in the labs. Contributes to the CHI’s educational mission and provides robust administrative support for Institute's operations, research, and academic programs.

Lab Management and Operations:

• Supervise laboratory cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Take part in safety inspections for research and teaching labs.
• Handle electronic and chemical waste for CHI.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and oversee common lab equipment and facilities.
• Train new users and students in the safe use of lab equipment.
• Manage procurements for CHI.
• Participate in asset verification exercises.
• Administer the smartcard system, managing office and lab access for CHI.

Educational Programmes and Activities:

• Aid in coordinating logistics for CHI's modules and training programs.
• Assist in planning and coordinating educational activities, such as open house events.
• Communicate with NUS units and departments regarding CHI's operations.
• Coordinate with speakers and participants for conferences and workshops.
• Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.

Outreach:

• Administer and refresh the Institute's webpage in collaboration with internal and external vendors.

Others:

Job Desciption

• Handle day-to-day financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing (such as assessing the adequacy of accruals/provisions), and preparation of the monthly and year-end audit schedules and financial reporting packages
• Liaise with various departments in the collection of information and documents
• Process internal charge and reclassification requests
• Process miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums
• Identify and perform clearing for offsetting transactions for balance sheet accounts
• Prepare bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items
• Investigate and resolve user’s queries
• Prepare GST and other statistical submissions
• Assist on corporate tax, internal and external audit matter
• Work with Grants and Inter-company GL teams to resolve issues
• Participate in process improvement projects
• Any other adhoc duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Accountance
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills; ability to communicate with various departments and levels
• Have a good command of the English language
