The Children and Youth Group (CYG) in The Salvation Army Singapore serves hundreds of vulnerable children and youth yearly. In line with our vision to provide a continuum of care to uplift those in need, our services span from preventive services, foster care and residential services to reunification support services for vulnerable children returning to their natural families after being removed due to safety concerns. We run a drop-in centre to provide young people in the community with a safe and conducive place to hang out. Through our youth mental health programmes we reach out to youth in the community as well as at risk youth in residential care. Job Overview

As an Account Assistant, you'll be responsible for helping out with various accounting tasks, such as

keeping track of financial records, preparing reports, and communicating with others to make sure

everything is accurate and up to date. This position requires strong communication skills, organizational

skills and a meticulous work attitude.

II. Main Responsibilities

• Assists with processing invoices and verification of payments

• Maintaining accurate financial records

• Supports group accountant with monthly reconciliation, reports and GST submissions

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding accounts inquiries

• Perform bookkeeping/data entry to accounting software

III. Job Requirements

• Must be experienced with Quickbooks

• Working hours: Weekdays 9-6pm

• At least 2 years of accounting background experience

• Diploma or certification on Accounting or Finance

• Must be comfortable with fast-paced environment

• Able to work under tight deadlines

• Have strong communication skills and teamwork spirit, and be able to work efficiently under pressure.

• Proficient in using office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

• Have good time management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

• Be meticulous and conscientious, and have a good sense of responsibility and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:month and end-year process
  accounts payable/receivable
  cash receipts
  general ledger
  payroll and utilities
  treasury, budgeting
  cash forecasting
  revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  capital assets reconciliations
  trust account statement reconciliations,
  check runs
  fixed asset activity
  debt activity
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Job Description & Requirements

• Prepare design presentation, conceptual and schematic designs
• Prepare construction/shop drawings fromdesign intent and submit for approvals
• Monitor design development and liaisewith consultants on design issues
• Issue drawings to subcontractors and liaise with them for technical issues
• Carry out site inspection and make sure that it conforms with the drawings
• Coordinating with subcontractors on site matters
• Bachelor of Architecture Minimum 3 years related local experience
• Positive, mature and self-motivated
• Willing to learn and take up challenges

• To carried out all responsibilities of a Site Supervisor in construction site.
• Assist and support Project Manager in handling and monitoring the progress of project
• To carried out site work in accordance to construction programme
• Ensure smooth progress of site works
• To supervise drivers, operators, general worker and look after equipment at site
• All issues conern on site works
• To responsible for all others related or ad-hoc duties as and when directed
• Overall reporting to project manager

Requirements:

• Language Mandarin spoken fair, English
• Positive working attitude
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Experience in Bored Piling will be an added advantage
• Candidate with Bored Piling experience will be preferred
• Salary base on the working experience
