We seek teacher who is familiar with international curricula( especially Cambridge Primary and Secondary Curriculum) and current pedagogical techniques and who are comfortable with technologyA degree in French is preferred but those with a degree in other disciplines are also welcome to apply.
Ability to teach core academic subjects other than English would be an added advantage.
A degree in education or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience

Teaching duties

• Teach subjects assigned by the school, mainly teaching in English/Mathematics/Sciences.
• Demonstrate through collaboration, planning and teaching, the IB and PYP framework of concepts within contexts, and inquiry-based learning that is balanced with specific skills of ‘how to learn’, leading learning towards the IB vision and the aims of individual subject areas and that incorporates interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
• Work and collaborate with Student Support Department to enrich curriculum and student learning.
• To differentiate and target learning to students’ needs and aptitude levels.
• Be culturally and linguistically responsive and proactive.

Non-teaching duties:

• Understand and implement the expectations and policies established by HWA.
• Participate in professional duties as necessary outside of the scope of the school day (e.g. Field trips, professional development on weekends as needed, and after school meetings as required).
• Supervise duties at break/lunch and/or other unstructured times.
• Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity).
• Assist in internal sub coverage according to department needs.
• Provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School.
• Contribute to school continuous improvement by being a member of assigned committee or work group.
• Responsible for homeroom teacher duties if assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspire curiosity and excitement about science and engineering, using our unique STEM curriculum to introduce students to grade-appropriate STEM concepts. Conduct lessons, and facilitate and coach students through STEM activities and experiments to create effective learning experiences.
• Work as a team with other instructors and co-workers to provide a safe and exciting learning environment for students, and ensure successful program implementation and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and observe each child’s learning progress, providing feedback to both curriculum developers and parents.
• Build good rapport with parents and students.
• Ensure good classroom management. Help maintain the good order and hygiene of our centres and classrooms.

Requirements:

• A passion for engaging children in learning
• Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills. Must be detail-oriented, reliable and comfortable with public speaking.
• A positive working attitude and out-going disposition.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Prior working experience with young children would be a strong advantage.
• Experienced teachers with relevant teaching qualifications welcome as Lead Instructors. Fresh graduates (any degree) welcome as Assistant Instructors. Training will be provided.
