The Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore invites applications for the tenure-track position of Presidential Young Professor (PYP) at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence in 2025. Main Responsibilities:

• Providing administrative support for the VP (Head of Junior School), DH (Head of First School) and DH (Curriculum) including booking appointments with parents
• Providing the first point of contact for day-to-day communication from parents of Junior School students
• Managing Junior School student absence & lateness procedures, including follow-up with parents
• Ensuring that hard copy registers for all Junior School classes are produced each morning for use in the event of an evacuation
• Managing mass communication with Junior School parents
• Providing the communication link between Junior School academic staff and the operations department (catering, security, facilities etc)
• Providing administrative support for:
  • Junior School ticketed events
  • Junior School sports events & fixtures
  • Junior School parent consultations, information days and other parent engagement events
  • Junior School staff meetings & staff briefing
  • Subject specialist teaching staff cover
  • Junior School procurement
  • Junior School trips and visits (booking tickets, arranging transport, etc)
  • Weekday co-curricular activities (CCAs)
• Maintaining Junior School student records/files
• Managing the first school reception area, as an internal reception function

Safeguarding:

• Abiding by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum Diploma and above
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a school or other education environment
• Candidates with previous experience in an international school setting preferred
