Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator, with a focus on export operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international shipping and logistics processes, ensuring seamless and efficient export activities. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Planning and Coordination:

• Develop and execute export logistics plans to meet customer requirements and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely production and availability of goods for export.
• Plan and optimize export routes to minimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.

Documentation Management:

• Prepare and manage all export-related documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and maintain accurate records for customs purposes.
• Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.

Carrier Management:

• Negotiate and liaise with international carriers to secure competitive shipping rates.
• Coordinate transportation bookings and monitor the movement of goods throughout the export process.
• Resolve any transportation issues or delays proactively.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for international customers and vendors regarding export logistics.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on export activities.
• Communicate regularly with freight forwarders, customs officials, and other relevant parties to address any issues and provide updates.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Stay informed about changes in export regulations and trade compliance requirements.
• Ensure that all export activities adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain best practices for export compliance within the organization.

Order Processing

• Process order allocation in the WMS system
• Resolve order processing issues.
• Monitor and resolve system posting and any system interface issues between systems.

Miscellaneous

• Support any logistics / warehouse-related activities as assigned by the supervisors

Qualifications:

• O Level
• Proven experience in export logistics coordination
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a must.

• Ensure project site safety compliance and continuous improvement by implementing and co-coordinating safety awareness training /programmers/initiatives
• Assisting Safety Officer in incident/workplace investigations and corrective action recommendations
• In Charge of safety documentation and control
• Conduct necessary risk assessment
• Ensuring Environmental, Safety and Health practices are carried out at all times
• Other Ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time
• Secondary education with a Safety Coordination certificate is A Must
• Minimum 5years of relevant construction safety experience
• Processes Work-At-Height & other safety certificates is an added advantage
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player

Requirement:

· Qualified WSH Coordinator under MOM

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety & Health, Construction industry preferred

· Able to start work in short notice or immediately

· Able to work in Jurong Island and TUAS Mega Port

Job Description

1. Understand the works and coordinate among all trades.

2. Scheduling of project, implementation, monitoring progress, and exercising site control to achieve smooth progress.

3. Preparation of Construction detailed drawing/shop drawing for submission.

4. Review shop drawings and samples prior to submission.

5. Preparation of Progress Report and feedback on overall performance periodically

6. Attending site meeting for liaising between consultant and client for their needs and requirement

7. Evaluation of Subcon's claim against actual completion on site

8. Evaluate and approval on work sequence and method statement submitted by Subcon

9. Preparation of Operation Maintenance Manual upon completion of work

10. Maintain good workmanship and satisfactory completion

• Assists in planning, controlling and coordinating of mechanical and electrical works
• Check discrepancies between project drawings and technical specification
• Study M&E drawings and coordinate M&E works with the consultants and sub-contractors to resolve any technical / site issues;
• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to specifications/drawings;
• Schedule, monitor and supervise the progress of M&E works on site;
• Coordination of sub-contractors M&E work and ensuring the work is on schedule
• Conducts M&E coordination meeting & attend site meetings
• Coordinate, liaise & communicate with people of all levels

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or BCAA Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination
• Minimum 3 years of local building project experience in managing M&E engineering as M&E Coordinator in a construction site
• Familiar with construction site activities

Job Description & Requirements

• To ensure smooth operations. Assist & support the smooth running of the day-to-day operations and liaise with owner/clients or agents on vessel boarding details.
• Process all necessary formalities, declarations, permits, and safety induction courses for shipyard job
• Arranging and coordinating supply / delivery of ship spares
• Prepare all reports after servicing is done and highlight the various services/materials
• Provide full administrative support to the Manager
