Strategic Manpower Planning

• Identify and assess key industry, manpower challenges and skills need through basic data analytics

Summary:

This position is responsible for directing, monitoring, and supervising the day-to-day activities of all sections within the Front Office and other operational departments of the Hotel, including the business center. The Duty Manager ensures smooth operations and customer service satisfaction in line with the established standards and policies of the Hotel.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for ensuring the proper, efficient, and profitable functioning of the Hotel.

2. Supervise sections in the Front Office, including reception, cashier, telephone, reservation, and baggage services. Monitor staff members’ conduct and job performance and to project a positive corporate image to guests.

3. Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests and handle guest complaints with tact and diplomacy. Assist in guest check-ins and check-outs.

4. Assist in inspecting rooms assigned to VIPs before their arrival, escort VIPs to their rooms and ensure complimentary amenities are provided. Inform relevant departments about VIPs’ arrival.

5. Check the Logbook for messages and follow up actions at the beginning of each shift. Issue keys to authorized personnel only and initiate correspondence regarding enquiries, reservations, and complaints. Monitor housekeeping discrepancy reports and take corrective actions when necessary.

6. Handle security-related matters, such as directing guests reporting incidents or theft and addressing guest conduct issues with the Security Department.

7. Maintain the cash float amount according to expected occupancy. Authorize rate and room changes, paid outs, cash advances, and acceptance of cheques following procedures and credit policies.

8. Take charge of training all reception staff members, include planning, organizing and conducting on-the-job training.

9. Conduct spot checks on outlets in the absence of the Outlet Manager.

10. Monitor room inventory closely to maximize room utilization and generate higher revenue. Collaborate with Sales to optimize revenue and occupancy from group allotments.

11. Take on the responsibility of evacuating staff members and guests during a fire in the absence of the Safety & Fire Manager. Attend CERT training as required by law and regulations.

The Case Manager provides leadership and oversees the COMIT team to ensure service delivery is in accordance to the intended programme objectives and care model for COMIT programme as outlined under the terms & conditions of the Letter of Award/Addendum.

They maintain an overview of the service planning and implementation of the COMIT programme. The Case Manager will work closely and provide guidance to the COMIT team to achieve the COMIT goals of timely assessment, provision of intervention and support eg. psychoeducation, case management and counselling, as well as caregiver support and training.

In addition, the Case Manager will also establish and/or maintain networking with other community partners or agencies, for purpose of collaboration and to facilitate co-management of cases.

Programme Development and Implementation

• Plan, implement and monitor the outreach, care process, referral and follow-up workflow.
• Provide case supervision to the team to provide intervention and support, in alignment with the overall COMIT programme objectives, adhering to the relevant ethical and legal guidelines.
• Responsible for establishing the network with other stakeholders like community partners and/or related agencies to build collaborative partnerships and better facilitate care and support for clients and caregivers.
• Establish and review work and communications workflow including identification, referral and escalation work processes as well as the development/update of the COMIT service manual.

Administration and Staff Development

Essential Functions

• Administers on-premises and cloud-hosted systems and servers related to SDCOE and district Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, 802.1x authentication, Windows Active Directory, IP address assignment, voice-over IP, firewall configuration, VPN) to ensure the availability of services to authorized users.

• Attends and represents the County at a variety of meetings (e.g. intra- and inter-district committees, professional organizations, workshops, seminars, etc.) to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions.
