We are looking to employ a highly driven assistant sales manager to assist the sales manager with the day-to-day running of our store. The assistant sales manager’s responsibilities include developing strategies to improve sales, effectively handling customer complaints, and assisting with the recruitment of sales staff. You should also be able to delegate tasks to the sales staff in the absence of the sales manager.

To be successful as an assistant sales manager, you should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and ensure that sales staff comply with company policies and guidelines. Ultimately, a top-performing assistant sales manager should be able to achieve excellent customer service at all times.

Assistant Sales Manager Responsibilities:

Continually meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Supervising and guiding the sales team as well as providing incentives to motivate staff to achieve sales targets.

Monitoring the performance of the sales team.

Ensuring that the store is clean and well-maintained at all times.

Building and maintaining good working relationships with customers.

Identifying opportunities and strategies to increase sales.

Regularly attending sales meetings and training sessions.

Ensuring that the store is adequately stocked with company products.

Performing all duties of the Sales Manager in cases of absence or emergency.

Assistant Sales Manager Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field is advantageous.

Proven experience in sales and customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate and implement strategies/action plans for forging partnerships with universities - undertaking research and analysis of markets and universities, as well as trends and developments in the international education environment, to identify opportunities for the SMU community, focusing on forging partnerships with universities in Asia and in particular China.

• At least a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Communications, International Marketing or other global-oriented fields of study.
• At least 6 years work experience in international work with proven high-competency and achievements in partnership development and management work, as well as cross-cultural projects.
• Keen understanding of, and experience working in Asia, in particular China.
• A strategic and analytical thinker.
• High level of written and oral communication skills, who enjoys writing, as well as editing work.

The Singapore General Manager will oversee all the activities of the Singapore office relating to its profitable operations and growth, driving implementation of commercial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Development to achieve Revenue & Profitability Goals. Participate and develop the budget/forecast of the Singapore office
• Strategise to deliver the optimal profitability and utilization of freight space. Establish long term operations direction/objectives and specific strategies and action to achieve them. Setting business and financial goals, devise and implement all marketing and operating plans to drive the performance of the company on profits, market share, product range and service quality.
• Develop business activities, build and maintain excellent client relationship with clients / agents, etc.
• Develop all or any associated services that will maximize value creation, accelerate growth and achieve operational profit and excellence across all functions.
• Effective Operations Management to ensure committed service levels are met consistently.
• Ensure conformity of processes and documentation to company and industry standards.
• Review and enhance processes to achieve business objectives and operational effectively on a continual basis including periodical review of the operations for business process re-engineering.
