IT Infrastructure Lead
The IT Office Lead is a key role that oversees the IT operations and infrastructure of the office, ensuring the optimal performance and security of the devices, networks, and servers. The IT Office Lead is also responsible for managing the IT assets, vendors, and compliance, and providing technical support and guidance to the staff. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT management, office 365, intunes, sccm, and firewall administration, and excellent communication and leadership skills. The IT Lead reports to the IT Manager and works closely with the central team and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Office Lead performs the following duties and responsibilities:
· Manage the IT office staff and coordinate the IT projects and activities, such as system upgrades, software installations, and hardware replacements, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget, and meeting the quality and security standards. The IT Office Lead also evaluates the performance and development of the IT office staff, and provides feedback and coaching.
· Maintain and troubleshoot the laptop/desktop, network, switches, and firewall systems, ensuring that they are functioning properly and securely, and resolving any issues that arise. The IT Office Lead also monitors the network traffic and bandwidth, and implements the backup and recovery procedures, and tests the disaster recovery plans.
· Monitor and optimize the performance and security of the servers and endpoints, using tools such as office 365, intunes, sccm, and firewall administration, and applying the necessary patches and updates. The IT Office Lead also analyzes the server and endpoint logs and reports, and identifies and resolves any anomalies or vulnerabilities.
· Manage the IT asset inventory and lifecycle, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for the best prices and quality of the IT equipment and services, and maintaining the records and documentation of the IT assets. The IT Office Lead also reviews and approves the IT purchase requests and invoices, and ensures that the IT assets are properly allocated and utilized.
· Implement and enforce the IT policies and standards, and ensure compliance with the central team and the regulatory requirements, and conducting regular audits and reviews of the IT systems and processes. The IT Office Lead also develops and updates the IT office procedures and manuals, and educates and trains the staff on the IT policies and standards.
· Provide technical support and training to the staff, and escalate issues as needed to the central team or the external service providers, and ensuring that the staff are aware and follow the IT policies and standards. The IT Office Lead also handles the IT requests and tickets, and communicates with the staff on the IT issues and resolutions, and evaluates the customer satisfaction and feedback.
· Stay updated on the latest IT trends and best practices, and recommend improvements and upgrades to the IT infrastructure and processes, and evaluating the feasibility and impact of the IT changes and innovations. The IT Office Lead also researches and tests new IT solutions and products, and participates in the IT forums and events.
Qualifications and Skills
The IT Office Lead possesses the following qualifications and skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience, with a solid understanding of the IT principles and concepts. A certification in IT management, such as ITIL, PMP, or CISM, is an advantage.
· 8 years of experience in IT management, preferably in an office environment, with a proven track record of delivering successful IT projects and solutions, and managing the IT staff and resources. Experience in working with the central team and the remote offices is a plus.
· Proficient in office 365, intunes, sccm, and firewall administration, with the ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot the IT systems and applications, and ensuring that they meet the business needs and requirements. A certification in office 365, intunes, sccm, or firewall administration, such as MCSA, MCSE, or CCNA, is an advantage.
· Knowledge of server management, network administration, and asset management, with the ability to maintain and optimize the IT infrastructure and resources, and ensuring that they are aligned with the IT strategy and vision. Knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and automation is a plus.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and motivate the IT office staff and collaborate with the central team and other stakeholders, and communicate effectively with the technical and non-technical audiences. The IT Office Lead also has excellent presentation and documentation skills, and can create and deliver clear and concise IT reports and proposals.
· Ability to work independently and proactively, with a high level of initiative and accountability, and handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The IT Office Lead also has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and can make sound and timely IT decisions.
· Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to adhere to the IT policies and standards and ensure compliance and identify and mitigate the IT risks and issues. The IT Office Lead also has a high sense of ethics and integrity and respects the confidentiality and privacy of the IT data and information.
