PURPOSE

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

New Business – Underwriting Subject Matter Expert

• To perform risk assessment of all life and health products to ensure that risk assessed is compliant to our company’s and regulatory guidelines.
• To perform risk assessment of jumbo/large sums assured of High-Net-Worth individuals (HNWI) to ensure that cases are thoroughly assessed especially on financial underwriting, yet providing extra level of service to the distribution team.
• To work closely with new business and distribution team to ensure that service delivery and production targets are met.
• To review appeals, post-issuance issues and handle post claim underwriting.
• To reduce operational risk by ensuring compliance of internal policies, procedures, treaties, guidelines and regulations.
• To assist Head of New Business & Underwriting to constantly review our underwriting guidelines to ensure that it is compliant with our Group’s underwriting philosophy.
• Review and update internal underwriting guidelines as well as distributors’ manual to ensure guidelines remain current and competitive.
• To provide training and consultation support to distribution channels.
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with distribution team and reinsurers.
• Conduct underwriting training for internal staff as well as support the development of training.
• Underwriting lead to develop risk selection parameters for new product / propositions for both DTC and IFA channel.

• To perform underwriting audits.
• Conduct internal underwriting audit on cases underwritten by junior underwriters and cases issued through automated underwriting engine.
• Manage panel of clinics and medical costs.
• Handle post-claim review.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Degree holder
• Preferably with insurance professional certificates (CII, LOMA, etc).
• More than 10 years of underwriting experience in life and health insurance
• Experience in technical case underwriting especially for large/jumbo cases, and preferably in the HNW sector
• Preferably experience with US$5m HNW underwriting authority and/or retail underwriting authority of S$3m and above.

The general tasks and responsibilities of managing a spa include:

• creating and implementing a business development plan
• hiring and supporting staff and conducting reviews of their performance
• performing spa treatments, massages, facials and wellness therapies
• managing inventory, including beauty, bath and treatment products
• negotiating with vendors and ordering supplies and equipment
• creating and updating the spa menu
• developing marketing strategies, running campaigns and producing promotional material
• training staff members on new skills and industry standards
• assigning tasks and coordinating staff and facility schedules
• ensuring the spa meets hygiene standards and complies with all health and safety regulations
• creating budgets, drafting financial statements and handling payroll and supplier payments
• communicating with clients and responding to queries to increase loyalty and satisfaction
• maintaining a client database

• Manage an efficient team of kitchen and service staff by taking an active interest in their development
• Maintain a high level of customer care as per company standards
• Update menu and wine list
• Recruit, select and train staff that meet set expectations and are suited to work in a customer-oriented environment.
• Create a good working environment and develop subordinates by identifying areas that need training and action to support it
• Orientate and train employees and ensure that everyone has a complete understanding of the company’s policies by using the operations training manual
• Ensure daily opening and closing duties in the outlet are properly executed
• Manage, direct and co-ordinate all operation-related activities in a proficient and pleasant method
• Ensure overall store image is maintained and the brand is always well represented
• Communicate daily and act as a liaison between operations staff and management
• Excellent communication skills
• Manage POS system
• Provide coordination and services for both kitchen and service
• Provide suggestions or develop new SOPs to improve operation and employee duties for the betterment of the customers
• Execute any other duties as requested by immediate superiors
• Achieve monthly sales target and report daily sales and cost of labour of the outlet to the office through the roster and DSR report
• Reduce food, beverage and stocks wastage in the outlet
• Managing daily sales transactions and cash flow
• Monitor handling of dining vouchers, discounts, cash, petty cash and tips in the outlet. Adhere to company’s cash handling policy and guidelines.
• Manage overall manpower planning, including planning the daily duty roster to ensure optimum use of manpower in the outlet
• Ensure that all the supplies and stocks in the outlet are enough for the day-to-day operations
• Prepare the daily sales report
• Monitor proper ordering, receiving, storage procedures are being followed
• Motivate, guide and train the staff in up-selling of food, beverage and promotional items
• Attend to guest requests and attend to guest complaints as required Resolving this at store level through service recovery.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the procurement of office stationery and printed materials, material system management, including the application management, distribution and system user settings, additions, deletions and modifications of materials required by various departments. Conduct market research, price comparison and procurement to ensure compliance with the bank's policy.
2. Assist in the receiving and sending of external letters throughout the bank, and the exchange of documents between departments and branches, including liaising with postal company to solve the postal issues.
3. Assist in the operation of the Bank's staff canteen, ensure the quality and hygiene of the catering supply and support the Bank's external activities to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the activities.
4. Responsible for picking up branch employees and customers to attend various activities and the transportation of documents, materials and materials between the Bank's building and branches
5. Other adhoc tasks assigned by the department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with at least 2 years of administrative experience.
• Fluent written and communication skills in both Chinese and English in order to communicate with Chinese speaking customers and Head Office.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in tax compliance/advisory, ideally with prior experience in international accounting firms
• Strong understanding of Singapore tax laws, including corporate tax, GST, and transfer pricing
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters
