Job Description & Requirements

Set up contracts section and develop team members.

Assist the Director in all matters relating to the project department.

Lead a team of Quantity surveyors and ensure that all contractual issues are fully understood and complied with at existing/new projects. Coach and supervise the QS in the project department.

Lead the project department through all stages and responsible for the administration of sub-contract and main contract including variation Order (VO) and settlement of final accounts.

Oversee and discharge Contracts Management duties such as tender preparation, preparation of costing and Pre-Contract administration. Evaluating and providing recommendations for tenders, and awarding construction and procurement contracts.

Check the submissions by quantity surveyor, external consultants on contract administration matters, such as assessing contractors' claims for progress claim, variation works, extension of time, cash flow report, final account and handling of contractual disputes.

Verify all contractual correspondences related to the project.

Work in conjunction with project management team to ensure compliance.

Any other duties assigned by the Director, Operations Department.

Requirements

Degree in Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil engineering or equivalent.

Preferably with 10 years and above of relevant experience.

Good knowledge of the construction industry with past experience in main contractor firms. Possess strong personal & negotiation skills and leadership qualities.

Motivated individual with sound knowledge in construction contract law & standard building contract form.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning, scheduling and monitoring of QS’s work for respective projects to ensure that works are completed on time for submissions to Client parallel to Project Schedule both in re-measurements and change proposals.
• Provide quotations to Client’s for any new additional works arises out of the original scope of works (if any).
• Checking and approving the change proposal for submission to Clients.
• Prepare forecast of overall projects costs inclusive of revised MTO’s and change proposals of each project. (Will provide to Client periodically.)
• Meeting up with Clients to reconcile and close up on the re-measurements and change proposals submitted.
• Compilation and close-up of final account for each project completed with the respective client.
• Prepare and monitor of invoices and payments from Client for each project.
• Provide contractual advice to the PM or Project Team for any commercial issues.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveyor or any Technical Discipline
• At least 10 years of experience in Marine shipyard for large constructions projects
• Experienced in the quantification and valuation of works for claims is essential, together with sound knowledge of commercial processes such as contracts, subcontracting, tendering and procurement
• Excellent written and good communicative skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Assistant IT Manager/IT Manager works with the Back Office HR & IT team to support and ensure the efficient and effective daily office operations, smooth internal workflow, and coordination of processes.

THE WORK

IT & Network Responsibilities (50%)

· Provide basic day-to-day user and desktop support to employees in Singapore office.

· Provide user IT onboarding including account creation and setup, allocation and deployment of laptops, basic user training.

· Liaise with local IT vendor (external) and remote Group IT (internal) teams to evaluate or troubleshoot IT issues.

· Work with HQ IT teams and various stakeholders on implementation, upgrades, and transformation projects.

· Manage the general maintenance and upkeep of IT tools and equipment (hardware and software) including computers, accessories, AV, and printers.

· Update IT inventory records & suport with IT procurement.

· Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.

· Implement and execute network security measures.

· Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements.

· Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.

· Install and update company software and hardware as needed.

· Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.

· Maintenance of office biometrics and relevant reports.

· Management & point of contact of Accelo – PM work platform

Project Management System Responsibilities – Accelo (50%)

· Managing, provisioning, configuring, and maintaining the underlying platform.

· Continuous Identifying, monitoring and improvising of platform performance.

· Attending and responding to incidents, outages, or other disruptions in platform service.

· Providing support to users or customers experiencing issues with the platform

· Offering training sessions or documentation to help users effectively utilize the platform’s features.

· Managing user accounts and permissions as needed

· Engaging with platform vendors or service providers to address issues or request assistance.

· Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

· Evaluating new vendor solutions or upgrades to existing platforms

Technology Innovation

THE CONNECTION

Reporting to Director, Corporate and IT Project Manager, the Assistant IT Manager/IT Manager works closely with the back-office team and is the first point of contact for employees regarding general IT and office facilities matters.

THE MUST HAVE

· Fluent in English. Proficiency in an Asian language is a plus.

· Well-versed in computer systems.

· Familiar with Windows 365 and project management software.

THE GOOD TO HAVE

· IT Diploma/Degree qualification

· 5 years of relevant work experience

· Experience with project management is advantageous.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will work closely with Product, Go-To-Market, and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute partnership strategies that drive the growth of our products and business. Equipped with your business acumen and knowledge of education and technology, you are right on the front line of driving our partnerships and partner programs. You will be responsible for building first-of-its-kind strategic partnerships that support our product and growth strategies, working with EdTechs that to develop new integrations with Education tools and partner with our teams in various ways. You must be comfortable developing partnerships strategies and prioritization, driving execution alongside technical teams, and building global programs that allow client to engage with the partner ecosystem at scale.

• Manage product and go-to-market partnerships for client’s education products and EdTech partners end-to-end, from strategy and negotiation through execution and ongoing management the partner
• Collaborate with Product teams to launch and incubate new product features with partners, improve existing product offerings and identifying new product-enabling partnership opportunities - including negotiating first-of-its-kind agreements with strategic partners

Minimum qualification(s):

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

• Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills, and strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to plan, pitch, and execute
