The Company:
Aramco Trading was established as Saudi Aramco’s trading arm in 2011 under the approval of Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors. It established its headquarters in Al-Midra Tower in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and have 4 other global offices in London, Singapore, Dubai and America. With five offices currently operating worldwide, Aramco Trading has broader access to markets, a wider client base, a more talented and diversified workforce, and a more sophisticated and integrated global business model.
Today, the company is recognized globally as a critical trading partner for refiners, shipping companies, financial institutions, end-users, and other product-trading companies. The company trades across the barrel including Crude, Middle distillates, Light distillates, bulk petrochemicals, polyolefin and recently clean energy like LNG, Emission and Biofuels.
Aramco Trading Singapore (ATS) is the largest subsidiary out of the kingdom and is actively trading within the region and globally across all products since 2018.
The Function:
ATS Finance team manages and carries out day-to-day and period-end accounting functions. Confirms the integrity of accounting information by investigating and researching accounting issues to ensure compliance as well as establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
· Perform Monthly management accounts closing and prepare appropriate financial statement at quarter and year end
· Prepare monthly Finance Trade book PnL and balance sheet schedules
· Prepare Inventory reconciliation
· Posting internal AR/AP Transactions
· Prepare government surveys and other ad hoc duties.
· Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
· Prepare and coordinate financial schedules for Quarter and year end Audit
· Documentation of processes and review of existing processes for enhancement.
· Provide support to senior management on cost and revenue analysis, key performing indicators and trend analysis
· Liaise directly with HQ (ATC) on submission of key performance reports
· Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or related field
· Minimum 5 years’ of prior Accounting or Finance experience in a trading environment
· Prior audit experience in Big 4 is preferred
· Some tax knowledge is a plus
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles GAAP
· Proficient in MS Excel, vlookup, SAP is a must
· Good team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
· Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
· Meticulous and a strong team player
. Need to commit to work on some weekends and after office hours
. This is a 9months contract, contract period shall be from June/July 2024 - March 2025
