• Configure and administer Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) storage and associated components

• Maintain storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocation, and Change Management

Work Conditions

Your Career

As a Consulting Engineer, you will be the expert on our solutions offerings for enterprise and industrial IoT security. You are the “go to” person for customer interactions that exceed standard Systems Engineering support requirements (we always expect a baseline expertise in all areas from our SE’s, but augment them with CE’s in the advanced or new technology areas). You will be required to -

Present to customers as our expert in IoT Security and deployment at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from technician to CIO. Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of and planning to deal with in regards to IoT. Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the best alternative. Lead and support customer demonstrations (with our SE’s) that showcase our unique value.Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive manner. Enable SEs through production of white-papers and other elevated technical collateral. Maintain bi-directional trusted advisor relationship with Product Management to drive client based insights/feedback and future solution direction.

The Consulting Engineering role is an overlay technical role that directly supports sales delivery of quota. CE’s are measured by their expertise and by their ability to lead to customer successes. There is also a requirement for close interaction with Product Management to ensure that we continue to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.

Your Impact

• Work with Product Management, Technical Marketing and R&D to create requirements and product features for our large customers and provide feedback from customers
• Provide design consultation and best practice guidance for rollout, implementation, and policy conversion during the 'pre sales' process for strategic opportunities - The Consulting Engineer will take ownership of advanced 'proof of concept' testing in strategic accounts either at the customer site or Palo Alto Networks lab facilities
• Provide product update and enhancement training to other SEs in the JAPAC region
• Provide demos for strategic prospects and current accounts in all facets of Palo Alto Networks IoT security offerings and integration in existing customer environments
• Assist in the training of new Palo Alto Networks SEs in their designated region in installs customer presentations, and internally-focused deal preparation activities
• Provide advanced 'Partner SE' training for updates in the Palo Alto Networks product suite
• Support relationship expansion with top existing partners for IoT security

• Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.

Role Purpose:

With minimal guidance, to prepare the fundamental engineering deliverables of Process engineeringfor the assigned project as per the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget. To identify recurring basic engineering issues and resolve them.

Key Accountabilities:

• Understand technical requirementsUnderstands the basic and essential specifications and requirements of the assigned project and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements.
• Engineering document preparationPrepares and marks up the PFD, P&ID, and process datasheets in accordance with design specification.
• Process calculation Performs preliminary PSV set pressure calculations, Line sizing calculations, settle out calculations in accordance with alarm set points and design limitations.
• Verification of Vendor informationPerforms verification of vendors’ information and perform necessary calculations (e.g. Scrubber level settings, strainer pressure drops) to determine if design requirements are met.
• Review of other disciplines' document / vendor documentPerforms verification of General Arrangement drawings and mark up to highlight any discrepancies in design specifications (e.g. Vessels & exchangers nozzle allocation)
• Resolution of technical issuesAssist senior engineer to develop solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and proposing various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
• Evaluation of vendor proposalUnder supervision of senior/lead engineer evaluates the Process requirement for other packages and contributes to technical bid evaluation process, and ensures selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements.
• Compliance with HSSEQ policiesTo ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.

Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in process engineering in oil & gas sector for degree holders or minimum 1 years of relevant working experience for Master degree holder.

- Proficency in English and Jap preferred to communicate with internal stakeholders.

Job Description & Requirements

• Conduct structure analysis
• Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Develop architectural/engineering drawings and ensure specifications/regulations are followed.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost estimation whenever required
• Ability to identify potential and discrepancies that affect the design and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.
• Adherence to safety practices.

Requirements:

• Possesses at least 7 years of experience in design and construction.
• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities.
• Experience in MRT & LTA projects
• Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software.
• Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred
