Job Description:
• Regularly review cost-out opportunities and ensure prices for goods are in line with relevant market rates, efficiently sourced, and procured in a way that creates the best value for the business.
• Lead accurate demand forecast with sales and marketing by successfully monitoring and communicating forecasts, changes, inventory estimates, supply situations, business risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
• Identify and analyze sales trends and influencing variables and incorporate analysis in forecasting & inventory planning.
• Effective relationship building with key suppliers for all food/beverage raw materials, ingredients & packaging to meet business demands
• Work with the Sales and Marketing Team to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic initiatives that enable the business to meet its growth and profitability objectives
• Collaborate with Finance team to ensure procurement management are aligned with corporate standards.
• Maintain knowledge of Import/Export regulations, compliance with the regulations.

Requirement:
• Min Diploma in Business or other relevant field of study
• Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in purchasing, ideally in FMCG, most preferably meat and cheese sourcing/purchasing.
• Knowledge of Meat and Cheese imports.
• Proven track record of managing a significant cost of goods with strong motivation to deliver cost savings.
• Strong leadership to manage suppliers with good decision-making and the ability to multitask.
• Strong business acumen, open-minded approach, and ability to effectively manage relationships throughout the organization and supplier relationship management skills.

The Job:

• Manage incoming vessels' requisitions, quotations, placing orders, and manage records

• Liaise with vessels, makers, forwarders, and agents for timely and economical delivery

• Assist the Superintendents in the management of budgets

• Any other Ad Hoc assigns

Requirements:

• Min GCE ‘O’ Level or related certificates in Procurement/Supply Chain

• Min 2-3 years of procurement experience in Ship management

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares appropriate documents for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment and service contracts according to procedures.

2. Proactive with good initiative and resourceful in identifying reliable suppliers with high level of integrity.

3. Receives and processes all approved purchase requisitions on a timely manner.

4. Reviews and verifies purchase requisitions to ensure that appropriate account coding is applied.

5. Makes vendor selection recommendations based on materials quality and price required by users.

6. Analyses all requests to determine the most efficient and economical way of processing request.

7. Negotiates with vendors for best pricing and other terms (payment/delivery terms, etc.)

8. Establishes good rapport and working relationship with internal customers and external suppliers.

9. Updates and maintains the Vendor list file.

10. Monitors and maintains record for Capital Expenditure.

11. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Recommends improvement to workflow where possible.

12. Provide supervision and guidance to Procurement officer.

Job Requirements:

· Diploma in Business / Supply Chain Management or its equivalent.

· At least 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in Hospitality or F&B related industries.

· Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin so as to liaise with Mandarin speaking suppliers.

· A team player with effective communication and negotiation skills.

· Hands-on knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.

· Preferably with basic accounting knowledge.

· Able to multi-task, independent and meticulous.
