Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee the operations of our minimart at Teck Whye. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be able to manage staff effectively, handle various operational tasks, including lifting items up to 30kg, and manage our e-commerce website and supplier negotiations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
Oversee daily operations and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Handle inventory management, including ordering and receiving stock.
Manage cash handling procedures and ensure financial accuracy.
Ensure excellent customer service standards are met.
Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Train new employees and provide ongoing training to current staff.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Be capable of lifting and moving products up to 30kg as needed.
Manage the store’s website to handle e-commerce orders.
Coordinate with suppliers, including listing products and negotiating terms.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a retail manager or similar managerial role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 30kg.
Experience in managing e-commerce operations and website maintenance.
Degree in any discipline.
Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers.
