My client is a Singapore based company that was established in 1988 and has been doing business in the offshore oil industry until today. With over 30 years of professional experience, they specialize in anchor handling, towing and transporting a wide range of materials including modules, offshore structures, cranes and heavy lifting equipment. They have a fully equipped office in Singapore to facilitate the coordination of their global operations and support offices in Indonesia, operations in the Middle East and offices in the UK, UAE and Australia

Key responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and recommend sourcing strategies.
• Identifying and qualifying suppliers for critical spare parts and negotiating contracts and agreements to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Drive low-cost sourcing strategies to support new product introduction
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve purchasing processes (e.g Blanket PO)
• Manage purchase orders, supplier agreements, purchasing policies
• Drive implementation, providing guidance, and coaching the team on supplier onboarding and purchasing processes.
• Creation of PO, expediting of delivery and update of SAP master data
• Coordinate with stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time material deliveries,manage inventory risks, and develop contingency plans
• Ensure the effectiveness and data integrity of inventory systems, with a focus on SAP & KetteQ

skills & experience required

• Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a strategic procurement sourcing and strong experience in cost saving
• Advantageous to have experience in managing HVAC parts procurement sourcing and establishing master agreements with key suppliers
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, such as SAP (MRP) and advanced Microsoft
• Excel
• Able to commence immediately or within short notice period
• Willing to work in west of Singapore (Pioneer)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing forward planning on materials stock plan
• Responsible for liaising with all extenal vendors on subcontracting job particularly on their PO, DO, shipment arrangment, delivery schedule and quality delivery service to production.
• Responsible for procuring production material based on master planning requirement for manufacturing and also support Production to procure consumable items.

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business
• Min 2 years of working experience in Production planning, FIFO for material supply and good supplier communication and basic procurement SOP.
• Knowledge and experience using MRP or ERP system for planning and inventory control.
