Must have Logistics Compliance, Trade Operations (import/export, declaration) background.
Hand-ons experience instead of management experience.
Location: 1 day @ Suntec Office / 4 days WFH once independent.
- This position is in to support Compliance team to keep up till date sufficient documentary records for the Import or Export shipments comply with the record keeping requirement for GST and maintain good compliance file records with Singapore Customs.
- He/she should have experience and knowledge applying applicable trade compliance rules, regulations, and policies to manage compliant import/export operations.
- Prior work experience as a Trade & Logistics Coordinator or a similar role will be an added advantage for the candidate.
Responsibilities:
Document Retention:
- Supports the team and department to maintenance of the records retention program as necessitated by business needs and regulations to support compliance with standards, guidelines, and Singapore regulatory agencies (Singapore Customs and Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore [MES Scheme]) requirements.
- Monitors and analyses key performance indicators for the records retention program ensure alignment with records retention policy.
- Uploads Customs Permit, Airway bills/air consignment note, delivery order and copy of commercial invoice accompanying the goods into NetSuite for retention.
- Perform check in NS and ensure all shipping documents (for Export and domestics shipment) are file according to company document retention policy.
Track and Trace:
- Perform daily tracking of all inbound shipments to meet OTD and provide day to day inbound visibility summary (track and trace) to Jabil planners.
- Avoid overflow, Checking and validating all inbound shipments volume with our LSP daily.
- To eliminate warehouse overflow issue at our DF, divert delivery to External warehouse and rearrange delivery to our DF.
Support Shipping and Export Operations Compliance:
- Support Outbound to work with Shipping for cargo readiness and coordinate with our Forwarders to secure flights to meet OTD.
- Review day to day shipping documents and ensure that all trade docs, CI (Commercial Invoices), PL (Packing Lists) and AWB (Airway Bills) in connection with the orders are in place and compliant with shipping practices. (Missing COO, Zero Dollar line item, Taiwan COO issue ship into China, Line item missing in commercial invoice Currency, etc.)
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics operations and Trade Compliance industry.
- Experience in Trade Compliance and International Shipping requirements.
- Ability to multitask, excellent attention to detail and work as per the priorities.
- Excellence time management and dairy organization skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications. (example: Excel)
- Able to work independently, proactive attitude with a passion for learning and provide feedbacks.
