What you'll do:
As an Analyst/Assistant Manager for Financial and Regulatory Reporting APAC, your role will be pivotal in supporting the overall success of the financial reporting team. You will assist in preparing and reviewing tax, financial, and regulatory returns while also analysing variances on financials submitted. Your ability to coordinate the creation and maintenance of documentation will be crucial in ensuring financial records/submissions internally and externally are accurate and timely. Furthermore, you will provide invaluable support to the Financial Reporting Department by maintaining a sound knowledge of all approved operating/accounting procedures.
* Assist in preparation and review to ensure timely and accurate preparation of all tax, financial and regulatory returns.
* Analysis of variances on financials submitted to the MAS/HKMA/APRA.
* Coordinate the creation and maintenance of documentation, procedures and strong controls.
* Provide support to the Financial Reporting Department by maintaining a sound knowledge of all approved operating/accounting procedures.
* Assist in ensuring the accounting records are accurate and reliable.
* Support the development, implementation, maintenance and update of the existing accounting system PeopleSoft, regulatory reporting systems.
What you bring:
As an Analyst/Assistant Manager for Financial and Regulatory Reporting APAC, you bring a wealth of experience from your time spent within the banking sector. Your qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business underpin your strong academic background. Your proficiency with financial modelling tools such as MS Excel and MS Access sets you apart from others. Your independence, organisation skills, self-motivation make you an ideal fit for this role. Moreover, your understanding of regulatory requirements across Singapore, Hong Kong or Australia demonstrates your adaptability within different markets.
* At least 3 years of working experience in the banking sector with strong academic background.
* Minimum GCE A Level or ACCA qualification, Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
* Candidate with financial modelling knowledge and/or Visual Basic experience in MS Excel and MS Access is preferred.
* Independent, well-organised, self-motivated and a team player.
* Strong understanding of Singapore, Hong Kong or Australia regulatory and accounting requirements.
* Strong time management skills and priority setting.
