Job Summary:
We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant to join a dedicated team of professionals.
The successful applicant will use specialist subject expertise, knowledge of teaching and learning strategies and values of the School to contribute to the learning progress of students in their care, through planning and organising resources, as well as providing support to the children (ages 7 – 10) and their teachers.
The role reports to Head of Junior School through Head of Learning Support (Junior School).
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma holder in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children who have a range of SEND and social, emotional needs.
- Experience working with Junior aged children will be an added advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Sound Microsoft Office knowledge; proficient computer usage.
- Flexible, willing to adapt timetable to meet the needs of individual children.
- Enthusiastic and mature individuals who enjoy working with students and teachers.
- Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as a good team player with good initiative.

5-day week – working hours are from 7.30 am to 3.45 pm with school holidays entitlement.
