United Women Singapore (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women’s empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 26 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women’s empowerment and anti- violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.

Job Purpose

The Associate, Partnerships and Events will take lead and responsibility for organising programmes and fundraising events for the organisation while securing and building partnerships and creating awareness on our programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams / internal stakeholders to deliver high- quality programmes and fundraising events
• Work with the Manager Partnerships to plan and coordinate the flagship fundraising events in addition to developing new and sustainable fundraising initiatives
• Work with the team to manage all aspects of events including logistics, timelines, resources and budgets as required
• Liaise with the respective government agencies to secure any permits, licenses and / or matching donations for the eligible events
• Collaborate with the Communications team to create engaging event materials, including invitations, promotional collateral, and presentations and assist with social media outreach
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure smooth event operations
• Oversee event setup, including registration, audio-visual requirements, signage,and seating arrangements among others
• Coordinate event staff, and onsite activities to ensure a positive attendeeexperience
• Secure and manage volunteers for the events
• Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of events and engagementactivities and provide recommendations to continuously improve future events and engagement strategies

Partnerships

• Work with the team to plan and implement partner / stakeholder engagement strategies to foster positive relationships and enhance brand awareness
• Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders such as partners, sponsors, volunteers and members through different channels, including email, newsletters, and social media to build partnerships
• Assist to develop and plan donor management and coordination including memberships and periodic donations
• Work with the Programmes Team to understand the nature of the scope of UWS programmes and to ensure the programmes are adequately supported and funded
• Work with the team to plan, coordinate and execute activities for members,volunteers and interns
• Maintain clear channels of communication within the team and the organisation
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

• Two + years of experience in the relevant roles including experience in event management. Experience in fundraising events is an added advantage.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively
• Detail oriented with strong organisational skills and problem solving abilities
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and to work independently and as a part of ateam
• A ‘can-do’ and flexible approach with ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Passionate about making a positive difference, enthusiastic, self-motivated,meticulous, persuasive and creative
• Work or volunteer experience with non-profits will be an added advantage
• Must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent ResidentQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or communications
• Possess reasonable fundraising and/or marketing related experience in any sector
• Excellent Microsoft Excel/Word skills

• Promoting photo packages to graduates who will be here for their graduation gown collection.
• Provide professional advice to customers with regards to their photos
• Help to prepare customers for their photo shoot.
• Provide administrative support.
