We are seeking a talented individual to join the Global Sales team of SS&C Algorithmics and focus on supporting the sales of our financial risk management solutions.
SS&C is a leading cloud-based provider of software and services for the global financial services industry. Our 20,000+ global clients manage, in aggregate, over $50 trillion in assets and include Insurance, Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, Banks and Asset Owners, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds and REIT’s.
Reporting directly into the Algorithmics Sales Management Team, the Business Development Rep (BDR) will work closely with Sales Executives to drive lead generation linked to key sales campaigns. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, the BRD will have the opportunity to understand, develop and align campaigns relevant to the market. You will engage with an enterprise Business to Business sales team, engage with financial services institutions of all sizes and have international exposure with prospects in 24+ countries.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Develop a strong pipeline of leads and opportunities through networking and marketing.
- Work directly with sales, business development and marketing to research and prioritize target account lists.
- Perform outbound sales activities (prospecting) into the client and target accounts including account profiling to generate new business opportunities.
- Position the value proposition of the Algo solution and communicate key information regarding solutions and delivery of our products.
- Through extensive dialogue with potential clients, determine fit and timing to generate new opportunities in a specified account(s).
- Nurture existing leads through ongoing phone and email communications.
- Validate and update sales lead information in the company’s CRM tools.
- Work with Marketing to align sales and marketing materials that support lead generation and nurturing activities including targeted campaigns.
- Understanding customer’s business needs and how our solution offerings align to provide business value.
- A high-level knowledge of SS&C’s entire solution suite and key competitors.
- Support development and execution of strategic sales plans by utilizing direct marketing strategies, account penetration, sales process management and marketing support materials.
- Effectively utilizing SS&C’s team of product and industry experts to advance the sales effort.
What You Will Bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in business development or inside sales, preferably in financial risk management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written with ability to present using solution selling and a consultative approach and able to establish trust across a range of technical and non-technical audiences including presenting to C-suite executives of major financial firms.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with CRM and CRM tools and practices
- Analytical skills, numerical skills, and an eye for detail
- Commercial awareness
- Strong presence and sales aptitude.
- Strong desire to be part of a winning sales team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to changing priorities.
- Minimum 2-4 years of direct Sales experience.
- Prior work experience with a technology or service provider in the financial services or risk management industry is required.
- BSc/BA degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Business Studies, Finance or Economics, Science, Statistics, Engineering, Law
- Self-directed with an entrepreneurial attitude that is focused on success.
- Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with internal teams to deliver client solutions.
