Promotes HSE awareness at all levels through exemplary and pro-active attitude with PROJECT & O&M Teams, COMPANY and Contractors.
HSE -MS:
· Monitor and implement the company’s HSE policies, procedures and programs,
· Define the REN Regional HSE roadmap, connected to the REN Central HSE roadmap,
· Contribute to HSE REN Central Roadmap deployment,
· Define in coordination with REN Projects & A&C Management and REN Central HSE the HSE objectives for projects under development and construction,
· Implement, compile, report the REN Project and O&M HSE KPI objectives jointly with Country representative and HSE Focal point identified
· Lead the implementation & deployment in the region of the HSE standards developed by REN Central HSE, adapting them to regional specificities when required,
· Ensure implementation of OBO HSE strategy as per REN Central objectives,
· Implement and deploy HSE Culture (Golden Rules, Stop Card, Award programs, EPC’s monitoring etc.), ensuring the compliance with Company commitments across all development, construction & operation sites,
· Share information and best practice across the affiliates and regions, ensuring a consistent roll out of standards and regular Return of Experience (REX),
· Ensure relevant HSE procedures and templates available in local language with integration of country specificities, based on REN and Company procedures,
· Ensure proper HSE training of Company staff, organize HSE promotion events such as World Day for Safety & Environment,
· Collect relevant information and report HSE data. Weekly & monthly reports,
· Conducts and participates in regular safety meetings (including Lead TTE Regional steerco),
· Ensure ERP/CM are properly implemented within all perimeters of REN Onshore Regional countries,
· Ensure compliance with legal regulation obligations in the regional countries,
· Ensure and manage HSE staffing in countries.
Assets:
· Identify potential hazards & recommend solutions at all stages of projects,
· Qualify & select new contractors on HSE point of view, review the HSE performance of contractors after each project,
· Interface with JV partners to bridge HSE management systems together and accompany JVs towards HSE excellence in execution of projects,
· Review HSE Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Risk assessments for the projects, & all Health, Safety & Environment related documentation to ensure compliance with Group and local requirements,
· Train & Coach Site HSE and perform On the job training,
· Conduct regular inspections on sites (including maintenance areas) to make sure that the activities are executed as per the HSE plan and procedures. Inspection can be based as well on Lo/To, HSE Commissioning and COD preparation phase,
· Develop HSE Inspections Planning and perform HSE Assessments on contractors and Company scope (e.g Maestro requirements),
· Debrief findings with related teams and management,
· Lead, review (and assist if necessary) accident investigation performed by local HSE,
· Monitor corrective action plans implemented by Projects/Assets to improve HSE results when not in line with the HSE objectives.
· Monitoring of HSE performance and implementation of TTE HSE requirements,
· Liaise with security Country Officers and Company Projects Security Manager to ensure implementation of all applicable recommendations depending on Site or country risk levels.
Projects:
· Same as above for Assets,
· Preparation RFP EPC Contract and follow up,
· Support PD team on HSE aspects for pre-FID activities preparation and follow up,
· Organize coaching of PD team on site during pre-FID.
BD:
Ensure at pre-development phase that HSE analysis phase are included into the CDREN and CORISK Meeting for top management approval, including security aspects from Security Country Officers or Security Lead.
Requirement
- 10 to 12 years of professional experience involving at least 5 years in a HSE management position.
- High level of knowledge and understanding of the HSE rules and Standards
- Experiences in the power sector and renewable energies will be a plus.
- Precision and zero compromise/tolerance approach on HSE and technical excellence must be proven.
- Proven autonomy and ability to manage high level contacts are required.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to be part of several teams at a time, commitment to ethics and values, punctual, mindful and competent in adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication level (animation, trainings, presentations) with people on the field, as well as project teams and VPs.
- Language English fluent.
- Knowledge of the Region is considered Valuable
