This role will provide music business affairs support for our Content, Marketing, and PR teams covering Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and Chinese-language projects. A substantial part of the role will be overseeing, managing, and scaling the music clearance workflow for film and series content and for marketing and PR campaigns, from project conceptualization to launch. The role includes clearing music tracks with multiple rights holders, from quote, through negotiation, to signature–and, if clearance is not feasible, suggesting alternative tracks. In addition, the role will advise on a wide range of music matters, including CMO requirements, while keeping in mind the strategic goals of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

This person must have music supervision or music clearance experience. They must have in-depth knowledge of music copyright, and experience structuring, negotiating, and drafting master use and synchronization license agreements; library license agreements; composer, songwriter, and performer agreements; music director and music producer agreements; record label and music publishing waivers; and soundtrack album agreements. They must have strong contacts in the Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and/or Chinese-language music industry, including with record labels, publishers, libraries, production agencies, artists, songwriters, and managers.
