JOB PURPOSE:
To achieve optimum sales revenue and profitability for a given focus Supplier line/Classes by driving overall sales, marketing and demand creation activities, contributing to the growth of the overall company’s sales revenue and market share. Working in conjunction with all relevant parties, the Regional Business Development Manager drives and implement strategies directed towards achieving set objectives, manages the Supplier’s expectations and enhance working relationship at all levels to gain support and partnership.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Review significant business opportunities as dictated by corporate requirements.
• Work in conjunction with the Supplier, Sales, Product Marketing and Advanced Engineering Group to identify focus product offerings and develop strategies to bring products to market.
• Work on special projects directed towards maximizing sales, inventory levels and profitability.
• Administration of profitability and debit management.
• Develop in-depth pricing and resale knowledge of products.
• Identify and implement strategies against budgets.
• Develop and enhance Supplier relationships at all levels.
• Product life cycle management
JOB CONTENT:
• Manage the effective application of internal and external resources to insure that our resale commitments to our Supplier are met or exceeded.
• Undertake the development and communication of strategic plans.
• Prepare monthly or quarterly updates for senior management.
• Interface with North America and Europe to use whatever leverage is deemed necessary to drive the business and enhance Supplier relationships within Asia. Communication will be key in order to forge strong links upon which strategic and tactical plans can be executed.
• Additional projects or assignments may be included as determined by the management.
RECOMMENDED CREDENTIALS:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Preferably a Bachelor of Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
EXPERIENCES
· Preferably with at least 5 years experience with particular emphasis on knowledge of Suppliers and Components Distribution business in the market place.
