Swift is in the process of recruiting Aircraft Technicians for our esteemed aviation client in Singapore.
This position entails a minimum one-year contract, and based on your performance, there's a high likelihood of an extension or a permanent role.
Qualifications:
Relevant Nitec/diploma qualifications in Aerospace Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering (Aerospace).
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the aviation industry as a full-time aircraft technician, excluding OJT, helper, and assistant roles.
Independent, proactive, and a keen interest in continuous learning.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (morning or night) or rotating shifts, including standby duties.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Aircraft Technician (Cabin):
- Execute cabin maintenance on assigned aircraft, adhering strictly to OEM-approved Repair Manuals.
- Collaborate with LAE and Supervisory Lead for damage/repair assessments.
- Perform basic airframe tasks for Cabin repairs and ensure excellent tool maintenance and housekeeping practices.
- Liaise with customers for timely service delivery and assist in daily maintenance activities as assigned.
- Handle chemicals for work, maintain, repair, and restore cargo compartments, and report deficiencies to management.
2) Aircraft Technician (A&C):
- Inspect aircraft components for defects, utilizing maintenance manuals, ATA codes, and other relevant documents.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft structures, components, and parts.
- Interpret engineering drawings and adhere to quality standards.
- Promote safety and quality within the workplace, coordinating repairs with other technicians.
- Order supplies, equipment, and parts for repairs and maintain detailed records.
3) Aircraft Technician (Avionics):
- Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic components and systems in aircraft.
- Operate ground support and test equipment for functional flight tests.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning aircraft systems and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work and order necessary supplies.
4) Aircraft Technician (Sheetmetal):
- Repair, perform maintenance checks, and modify aircraft structural components.
- Identify and manage structural/airframe defects, fabricate airframe sheet metal parts.
- Use precision equipment/tools/machinery and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements.
5) Aircraft Technician (Engine):
- Perform disassembly/assembly of engines for repair and overhaul.
- Interpret blueprints and perform hourly, daily, and monthly inspections.
- Promote safety within the workplace and order necessary supplies for repairs.
6) Aircraft Technician (Composite):
- Perform repairs on aircraft leading edges, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify unserviceable parts and maintain a clean working environment.
- Utilize tools and equipment properly and ensure their maintenance.
7) Aircraft Technician (Painter):
- Paint aircraft components, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct vapour degreasing and masking processes with precision.
8) Aircraft Technician (Planner):
- Independently manage assigned aircraft projects, ensuring timelines are met.
- Create maintenance schedules, work orders, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth project execution and track approved modification programs.
