Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth within the industrial and energy vertical markets, leveraging their expertise to identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand our client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on the industrial and energy sectors.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target organizations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique requirements of clients in the industrial and energy verticals.
- Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and the company.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies to position the company as a thought leader in the 3PL space.
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, pipeline, and results to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in business development.
- A four-year accredited bachelor's degree is required; an M.B.A. or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the industrial and energy sectors, including knowledge of supply chain and logistics challenges specific to these industries.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness to travel as required.
