Position description:
- Jointly work with Divisions and Business Units, direct and coordinate AMTEK sales and marketing functions in a matrix structure to achieve sales growth, synergies and present a strong company image in South-East Asia.
- Ensure AMETEK statutory compliance in all locations in South-East Asia.
- Provide leadership to shared service team (including Finance, Human Resources, IT, Sales Order Processing, Logistics, Digital Marketing, etc.) to support the organic growth in South-East Asia.
- Direct and oversee the marketing and customer support activities to achieve organic growth.
- Manage corporate and shared service budgets.
- Evaluate results of operations, trends, etc. and recommend courses of action and policy changes beneficial to the company.
- Direct preparation of strategy reviews and annual budget, reviews proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation.
- Recommend and implement staff training and resource planning to meet the need for growth in South-East Asia.
- Support BU organic growth by creating cross-BU Synergies for growing countries and/or market segments.
- Market Intelligence gathering – Projects, Investments mapping of multinational projects.
- Work with other Country Managers in Asia to capture cross-board multinational investments.
- Support Due Diligence and Integration
Position Requirement:
- A degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Business Management. MBA is desired.
- 10 to 15 years of related experience of which at least five years in a multinational instrument manufacturer.
- Position can be based in Singapore, Malaysia, or Thailand
- Strong technical background in testing instruments, analytical instruments and process control equipment and/or experience with demonstrated strategic thinking as well as the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Knowledge and experience in digital marketing, social media and eCommerce. Able to adapt business models under the trend of digitalization.
- A skilled negotiator with strong communications & presentation skills both verbally and in written.
- Possess well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries in multi-businesses and matrix organization environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff through setting goals and objectives to meet business goals.
- Proven ability to select talent and develop subordinates.
