About the role
Reporting to the Deputy Regional Manager - Tender, this role will prepare and deliver competitive, top quality proposals in response to RFQ/RFI/RFP received from Bollore Corporate Key Accounts, following the established tender management guidelines, and coordinate tender management activities amongst the different Bollore Regions in the world.
What you will be doing
- Develop competitive proposals for Corporate and strategic Key Accounts, as well as identified Local and Regional Key Accounts
- Ensure compliance with Regional and Corporate tender management processes and guidelines
- Creation/compilation of document bid templates, analyzing and reviewing pricing with commercial and product stakeholders
- Preparing and conducting sign-off sessions with Local and Regional Management
- Respond and assist on qualified RFI / RFQ requests from the Bollore network
- Ensure timely, accurate and quality responses are delivered to the requesting parties
- Support to maintain and update tender and pricing database of current transportation rates for benchmarking and baselining.
- Support monthly tender data record updates and follow up on progress of submitted tenders
- Interface with other functional groups such as Procurement, IT, Legal, QHSE, Key Account Management, Industry Verticals and Trade Lane Development, as well as customers in creating/delivering competitive and quality proposals
- Ensure post-mortem analysis to be performed by bid owners for all bids, both successful and unsuccessful tenders
- Ensure received tender feedback is shared with relevant functions and areas in the organization
- Contribute in continuous improvement of the internal tender process and tools
The successful candidate
Essential
- Degree in any Business, Engineering, or Logistics & Transportation disciplines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Transportation / Logistics industry
- Advanced exposure and ability in Microsoft Excel.
- Functional experience in air / sea / supply chain management / information technology / customs brokerage
- Pricing and market knowledge of Asia Pacific region.
- Ability to interpret company’s strategy and transfer into proposals and bids and uncover new opportunities
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and present tender documents, requirements, pricing and other details
- High sense of collaboration and ability to articulate objectives across multiple stakeholders
Desirable
- Knowledge in other productivity and automation tools is a plus.
- Global market knowledge is a plus
- Results driven, customer-oriented and meticulous
- Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, multi-task, assign, follow and control)
- Outstanding oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures and different organizational levels
- Independent and able to work under pressure
