The role is to support daily and monthly task for Finance department in Singapore.

What you'll be doing

• Handle day-to-day business cases in the area of account receivables, account payable, bank posting and booking of invoices in accordance with the directives;
• Prepare cash book and book incoming receipts & outgoing payments in our accounting system;
• Check and ensure accuracy of our out-going invoices issued;
• Perform reconciliation and arrange payment for payable for local vendor and handling account queries, if any;
• Monitoring GST and COD collection, sending monthly SOA to all customers & agents;
• Prepare and update weekly AR ageing reports;
• Clarify query invoices with client accounting and our operations department;
• Generate monthly report for account receivables and payable by deadline given;
• To support Finance Manager for month-end closing process and year-end auditing;
• To take up additional assignments/tasks as required to meet with the Company needs.

About you

The incumbent shall form part of a network which carries the day-to-day business within the legal and corporate rules, directives and regulations set forth by the company. He will report functionally to the RPM and disciplinary to the Line Manager.

• Perform quality checks and implement corrective action to address service failure

• Participate in RFQ/RFI
• Attend clients’ meetings such Quarterly/Monthly business reviews
• Lead the innovation process in terms of information solutions and clients’ feedback out of business review meetings.
• Ensure SOPs are in place and being adhered to by the operations team
• Close collaboration with business development team to achieve business wins and seamless implementation
• Continuous drive to improve operations efficiency and effectiveness
• Prepare annual budget and target setting with support of the MD
• Perform quarterly review on black routings, Core and Preferred Carrier assessments
• Perform monthly analysis on loss making and low performing Branches, “quote log” down to quotation level
• Keep abreast with market trends and developments and share intelligence with management team

Procurement/Pricing:

• Local responsibility for PROCUREMENT
• Meeting and building relationship with core/ preferred carriers
• Ensure 80% of our business is booked with core/ preferred carriers
• Ensure 80% of our business is booked via e-booking
• Annually review of Local Charges together with RPM and GND /TLM
• Enforce DIRECT PROCUREMENT (cut out the middleman)

Product Management:

• Ensure all sales are provided with the right product targets and a competitive pricing to avoid the risk of a TOTAL COST TRAP.
• Ensure retention activities with our TOP accounts.
• Coordinate biggest business opportunities and overview of the most complex businesses like project business such as NAK agreements project business with CPM.
