Job Responsibilities:
Appraisals and Evaluations:
- Conduct thorough appraisals of jewelry items to determine their value
- Provide accurate and detailed documentation for appraised items
- Stay updated on current market trends and pricing for precious metals and gemstones
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry
- Provide knowledgeable and professional advice on jewelry selections
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously
Sales and Marketing
- Promote and sell jewelry products to meet sales targets
- Assist in organizing and displaying merchandise in an attractive manner
- Participate in store events and promotions to drive sales
Fashion Advisory
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through effective sales techniques
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of jewelry inventory, including sales, repairs, and appraisals
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits
- Ensure the security and proper storage of valuable items
Administrative Duties
- Process sales transactions and handle cash register operations
- Maintain customer records and follow up on special orders and repairs
- Prepare and send out customer notifications for completed repairs or custom orders
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate with counterpart from London as the main liaison in regards to all jewellery related matters
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in fine jewelry background
- Proven experience in luxury fashion retail or a related field is a plus.
- GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified is a plus
- Strong passion for luxury fashion and a keen sense of style.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-end retail environment.
- Sales-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of fine jewelry and diamonds
