Dulwich College (Singapore) is seeking a Deputy Head of Finance to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering various finance related tasks with regard to the preparation of accounts, and provide support to the Head of Finance. The Deputy Head of Finance will assist with the supervision and training of the Finance staff, in consultation with the Head of Finance, and for ensuring that proper accounting procedures are in place, and accurate records and reports are in compliance with statutory requirement and SFRS accounting standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• To prepare monthly GST self-review and quarterly GST submissions;

Requirements:

• Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in a Finance/Accounting related discipline.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting role; with a minimum of 2 years in a supervising role;
• Prior audit experience (minimum of 2 years), preferably in Big 4 organizations, is essential
• Experience in preparing monthly trial balances, management accounts, cash flow analysis and forecast and GST submissions.

The Sports Administrator will oversee the safe running of sport at Dulwich College (Singapore) by organizing the logistics and operations of the sports department, and ensuring that the sports at the College run smoothly and safely.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• To lead on all Health & Safety requirements, including the written risk assessments and ensuring the sports facilities at the College are safe and in good working order;
• To ensure the annual inspection takes place to keep all equipment safe and operational and liaising with JLL where necessary, to ensure the safe working of all sports equipment and resources;
• To ensure the smooth running of the CCAs, to be on the ground operationally seeing the students are safe and activities are running smoothly and safely;

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

General:

• To provide the Examination Lead with administrative support as required;

Examinations

The Director of Communications oversees all aspects of College communications to develop and implement an integrated communications plan, building the College’s reputation, managing issues and crises, and engaging a breadth of stakeholders, including partners, parents, students and staff.

Providing an engaging and competitively differentiating communications experience, with corresponding content strategy to support school growth and strong advocacy within the College’s communities, the Director of Communications is a member of the College Leadership Team (CLT). The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Accounts Payable function in the College, to take charge in payment processing, credit card reconciliation and Accounts Payable administration

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Perform AP-related postings, including AP invoicing, Outgoing payments and creation of fixed asset master data, ensuring accuracy and completeness, in compliance with College policies and internal approval matrix;
• Take charge of payments and refunds, ensuring timeliness of payments and completeness of paperwork;
• Obtain and reconcile monthly vendors’ Statement of Account, ensuring AP invoices are posted timely for prompt payments;

Dulwich College (Singapore) is recruiting a Food and Nutrition Teaching Assistant to start in August 2024 to support the Senior School in the preparation, set up and resources needed for Food Preparation and Nutrition lessons; as well as provide in-class support to the Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher in managing the ordering and safe storage of ingredients and food stock, maintain equipment and utensils to ensure smooth running of lessons, including maintaining high hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

• Arrange resources and assist the Teacher in curriculum based cooking activities for Year 9-11 students in Senior School.

Dulwich College (Singapore) is looking for a College Nurse (Term-time) to join its dedicated team in August 2024. The College Nurse will oversee the provision of a clinically effective and high quality nursing care and welfare service to students, and First Aid care to all members of the school community as required. The College Nurse will also oversee the provision of a holistic approach to the care of pupils, including health promotion, PSHE, and the assessment and treatment of illness and injury.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide triage and nursing care in one of the three College health centres on a walk-in basis, dealing with medical, physical and psychological needs of the students and wider college community;
• Provide First Aid, emergency care and treatment as required on a call out basis;
• Provide sport specific First Aid on site as required such as pitch side rugby cover and off site cross country First Aid cover;
• Provide First Aid support for college events or sports fixtures after school hours and at weekends as pre-arranged and required;
• Provide a confidential counselling and health advice service as required as part of the student support services team;
• Have a high level knowledge of the college safeguarding policy and apply to daily practice;
• Ensure care plans and action plans are developed, reviewed and written for pupils requiring them, eg. in the case of asthma, epilepsy, diabetes and anaphylaxis;
• Maintenance of student’s emergency medication stored in the health centres;
• Daily and weekly equipment checking as appropriate;
• Adhere to Ministry of Health's guidelines regarding infection control and management of infectious diseases;
• Administering medications under protocol, keeping accurate dispensing records;
• Maintain the stock in the treatment room and be responsible for the hygiene and tidiness of the area;
• Follow procedures for the safe disposal of clinical waste;
• Promote health education, and ensure the provision of, and access to, a range of appropriate publicity materials on student health issues;
• Facilitate health promotion talks and education services for students, staff and Dulwich community as required;
• Support teachers and outdoor learning Department with the management of student medical information and provision of first aid kits and supplies as required for both day and residential trips;
• Maintenance and stocking of college First Aid boxes/ kits and AED’s;
• Adhering to PDPA, ethical and confidential guidelines regarding safe and accurate maintenance of all medical records and all communication methods;
• Report and record accidents and incidents according to college procedures;
• Competent and proficient with Administrative tasks that commensurates with the position such as processing of student medical forms and vaccination records;
• Assist with other school initiatives such as enrichment days, Staff First Aid training and random drug testing as required;
• Assist with contractor First Aid briefings as required;
• All other duties that commensurate with the position of a College Nurse.

Experiences:

• Experience in paediatric/emergency and/or public health nursing;
• Experience of working independently and autonomously in making judgements on treatment;
• Experience working in a school setting would be an advantage;
• Experience of assessing children and young adults in relations to their health and development.

Requirements:

We build upon an enhanced version of the English National Curriculum, followed by IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. It is a genuinely international education. The Junior School

Our Junior School caters for 880 enthusiastic learners aged between 7 and 11. Everything we do is underpinned by a culture of safety and wellbeing for all members of the community. We build upon the excellent foundations laid in DUCKS, and develop a depth of academic knowledge, as well as the life skills and mindset needed, to prepare students for the best possible success in our Senior School. We want children to leave Year 6 as motivated, independent and collaborative learners.

Junior School teachers have high expectations of themselves and learners. They are reflective and strive for continual improvement. They value knowing each child as an individual and create a safe space for learning. They believe in personalising learning and that all children have the right to make progress from their individual starting points; teachers identify the needs of children and provide support and challenge as appropriate.

Our teachers understand the importance of a solid platform of core skills and content, and see this as a springboard to teach broader concepts, through an inquiry approach to learning. To support this every student has access to a device. Our curriculum and timetable value a breadth of disciplines that includes traditionally academic subjects as well as STEM, sports, and visual and performance arts. Teachers are supported to develop areas of expertise within this model.
