Position Summary

In the role of a Software Engineer, you are responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software applications mission-critical safety and security surveillance that are to be deployed in an operational environment.

Depending on the specific assignment, you will design and build innovative applications and solutions in one of the following areas:

Main Responsibilities

• Write, modify, debug, test and troubleshoot software code using source code debuggers and visual development environments to create single-threaded, multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone and those which access servers or services
• Analyse, design, review, implement, integrate, test and deploy software applications
• Write technical design and associated design documentation
• Track and manage the software code over its development cycle

The computer vision / image processing engineer is responsible for developing and implementing algorithms and software tools to process and analyse images for various object detection applications from multiple real-time mission-critical image sources, such as electro-optical, thermal imaging sensors and other sensors.

The job scope includes:

• Research various imaging systems and validate them.
• Using optical metrology techniques, calculate and calibrate cameras for outdoor real-time mission-critical applications
• Designing and testing image processing systems and components, such as filters, edge detectors, feature extractors, classifiers, etc
• Optimising the performance and accuracy of image processing algorithms using techniques such as parallel computing, machine learning, deep learning, etc
• Collaborating with other data scientists, engineers, researchers, and clients to understand the requirements and specifications of image-processing projects

Position Summary

You are responsible for production, assembly, design and development of hardware and equipment the Company’s products. The job also involves sourcing of components, participating in technical design, working with Software Engineers and/or Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, management of contractors, and installation, deployment and maintenance of the products in an operational environment (on-site when required).
