Working Hours: 9am - 6pm / 3pm – 11pm / 10pm – 6am

The Test and Commissioning Engineer is responsible to perform the onboard testing to the following I) Pre and Post modification activity to the NCX2 APM vehicle (covering onshore and offshore testing when required)
II) Pre and Post manufacturing activity to the new NCX1 APM Vehicles vehicle (covering onshore and offshore testing when required)
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, Identifying problems and shortcomings with existing systems.
- Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation for inclusion in the site test dossier
- Represent client to lead the vehicle testing activities, to ascertain the behaviour or performance of the vehicle performance in line with the corresponding test specification
- Ensuring that safe testing being carried out as per the product requirement within the project timeline
- Possess related LRT, MRT or rolling stock testing experience to perform the site testing work, this is including all vehicle subsystems
- To perform rectification work that arise during the troubleshooting
- Strong innovative and analytical skill to perform onboard system troubleshooting and with fundamental knowledge on Railway Qualification Test with railway standard IEC 61133 or EN 50215
- Able to review the testing procedure and providing constructive feedback for test improvement, able to produce test and commissioning documentation and with Risk Assessment knowledge is added advantage
- To regularly provide testing update and report to the PI Manager, ensuring that the field data, configuration is well organised and feedback to the PI System
- Implements and enforces HSE requirement on site with the support of HSE team representatives.
- Coordination on the testing activities with the vehicle modification team, customer and the DIS signalling team
- The test engineer will require to assist in the warranty related activity
- Shall identify deviations from expected results and record them in test reports
- Shall communicate deviations with relevant change management body for evaluation and decision
- Able to operate oscilloscope, test equipment’s such as Multimeter, Meggering device, earth bonding device, etc test equipment
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:
Technician degree in relevant domain, Engineering degree strongly recommended
Relevant experience required
Typically, minimum 3 – 5 years relevant rolling stock experience
