JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager, Procurement, supports the development and execution of procurement strategies, ensuring compliance and effective supplier management. This role assists in implementing procurement policies, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing processes to align with organizational objectives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Procurement Strategy Development
  Assist in developing procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, actively participating in research and analysis to respond to market changes and shifts.
• Vendor Relationship Management
  Maintain positive relationships with key suppliers, monitoring industry trends and contributing to the selection of vendors that meet organizational needs.
• Assist with Target and KPI Setting

  Contribute to the vendor selection process by evaluating suppliers based on established criteria and supporting adherence to organizational standards.

• Corporate Governance and Ethical Standards
  Aid in enforcing corporate governance practices within procurement, promoting ethical sourcing and sustainability in line with regulatory standards.
• Technology and System Improvement
  Assist with the integration of procurement technology (e.g., ERP systems) and support the continuous improvement of processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Vendor Performance and Proposal Review
  Conduct vendor performance review for key vendors to ensure alignment with organizational goals, offering insights for improvement as necessary.
• Tender and Contract Management
  Support and manage best sourcing for tender and major acquisitions including negotiation with shortlisted vendors to secure competitive proposals for purchase contract.
• Procurement Process Improvement

Work with operational and functional departments to identify and implement best practices as part of group procurement initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft office software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in acquisition of turn-key system would be an added advantage

Role

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is the overall lead responsible for all work activities, business planning and performance of the assigned SSW site. The Assistant Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Manager, Operations and is accountable for other business responsibilities to be assigned within a matrix reporting structure.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for overall site-level business performance, including operational and financial performance
• Responsible for operational planning for routine business and operational activities, including inbound/outbound work, order management, customer relationships, issue escalation and problem solving
• Lead team of Supervisor, Customer Service and Warehouse Assistants at site, responsible for their work performance, training and annual appraisal
• Manage site-level direct costs, budget and P&L; prepare revenue forecasts, drive volume and activities as part of revenue generation
• Manage, plan and use resources for optimal business outcomes; labour, equipment, facility, etc.
• Meet or exceed internal and customer KPIs, especially level of customer service and customer satisfaction
• Work with other SSW departments to deliver functional goals and initiatives e.g. Safety, Security, HR practices, Facility Maintenance, IT system, Billing/Invoicing and Procurement, ISO certification, etc.
• Effectively communicate and implement company initiatives, policies and SOP at site
• Ensure clean, hygienic working and warehouse conditions at all times
• Ensure proper care of equipment
• Implement cost savings initiatives
• Conduct daily tool-box briefings, end-day debriefing
• To be based at individual site
• Represent site as Member of SSW Safety Committee

Requirements

• ‘O’ levels or Diploma, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) or supply chain industry, preferably in logistics project implementation, operations or related role
• Sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain operating processes
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills with ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and adhere to strict timelines
• Ability to work and interact effectively with stakeholders from multi-functional and diverse background
• Strong communicator and team-player, demonstrate initiatives and ability to lead
• Skills & experience considered advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and specific job-related software such as MS Project, MS Visio.
• Well exposed to logistics related software and system, e.g. WMS, TMS, Visio, etc.

The Customer Service officer is primarily responsible for the liaising with customers and coordinating with the operation team, identifying customers issues and challenges, feeding these information’s to the operation team and assisting them in achieving the service level as well as shipping documentation required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Receiving of job orders and prepare all documents required for submission based on the job information and requirements provided by the customer.
• Updating and entering in all information in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• To ensure all customers’ queries and complaints are investigated and resolved with Operations Teams and/or Customers, and to escalate to their immediate Superior for assistance and advice if unable to resolve the issues.
• Export process - warehouse picking/packing, booking with carriers, DG packing, fumigation, collection, documentation.
• Import process - clearance from terminal, warehouse receiving, consolidate delivery onboard vessel.
• Communicating with inter offices, customers, warehouse, carriers, transporters and 3rd party vendors.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly reports are up-to-date and provided to Department Head on a timely basis.
• Communicate discrepancies/issues to team supervisor/manager when necessary.
• To assist direct superior with any special projects assigned and provide backup to other CS team when necessary.

• Use of hand-held RF device for put-away into locations
• Perform physical and system issuing of stocks according to Outbound Orders

• Conduct scheduled cycle counts and stock takes using hand-held RF device

Job Summary

This role has a direct reporting line to the CFO at SSW. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all Business Units (BU) under the SSW Group, currently consisting of SSW and SSW Logistics on all finance-related matters, including financial analysis, cost modeling, preparation and review of monthly and annual accounts, annual budgets, and forecasts. The Finance Manager shall ensure that the accounting records for all entities under SSW Group are consistently in good and proper order for annual audit and statutory reporting purposes.

Role and Responsibilities

· Prepare monthly, annual, and quarterly management and financial reports on a timely basis.

· Prepare annual budget and forecast(s) in collaboration with the BU’s leadership team.

· Prepare financial profitability and variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecast on a monthly/periodic basis.

· Responsible for regulatory submissions and management of all tax matters, draft tax computations, and GST returns.

· Review and implement internal processes and, controls.

· Perform Receivables, Collections and Insurance

· Ensure compliance with proper governance, controls, and process requirements.

· Prepare project costing, investment analysis, financial modeling, and projections as required for approvals at Management and/or Board levels.

· Liaise with auditors, government agencies, financial institutions, and tax agents as and when relevant.

Requirements

· Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent

· Technically competent with solid knowledge of local accounting standards and practices and Income Tax Act provisions.

· Independent and able to work under tight deadlines and resource constraints.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Assist with end-to-end recruitment process such as liaising with various stakeholders regarding recruitment needs, posting of job advertisements on various platforms, screening of resumes, first cut call with the candidate, arranging of interviews.

· Assist with implementing training and development plans for the Company such as sourcing for the right course and course provider for staff training, ensure all training forms are properly documented and filed aligned with ISO standards.

· Assist with planning and execution of employment engagement events such as company-wide meetings.
