An opportunity exists for financial services tax consultants / lawyers to join our growing Deloitte Singapore financial services tax advisory and compliance practice. Our team is diverse and includes accountants, lawyers and economists. Our team members have broad experience, which includes law firm and / or in-house corporate tax experience. A number of the team have worked in other markets (such as Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the UK and the US). We strive to learn from each other and leverage our respective experiences.
The team focuses across financial services sector (i.e., banking and capital markets, insurance, investment management and real estate) as well as emerging areas such as digital assets, fintech and carbon credit trading. The work that we are undertake is varied and ranges from tax compliance to fund structuring, financing transactions, global information reporting, securities taxes and tax disputes. We lead the delivery of regional and global engagements from Singapore.
Responsibilities will include preparation of tax computations, assisting with tax research, assisting with the preparation of tax advice, preparation of proposals and presentations, and assisting with business development.
Successful candidates can expect a diverse range of financial services tax advisory and compliance work as well as regional and international tax project experience.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other business-related field, with a Professional Qualification as recognized by ISCA; An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.
• You should ideally have at least 1 to 3 years of business tax experience, preferably with an international accounting or law firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Has an inquisitive and analytical mind and an attention to fine detail.

• Proven ability to prioritise and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
