Purpose of Role:

• Work with the Global Conflicts Manager and others in department to assist with conflict checking new clients and matters across a range of different jurisdictions with a focus on Hong Kong and ASEAN jurisdictions

• Utilize available internal and external databases and other such resources to supplement analysis and assist with decision making.

• Ensure that all necessary information is obtained so that an accurate conflict search can be completed.

• Communicate with Partners, and other lawyers and professionals to follow up on and address all potential conflicts of interest

• Prepare as needed waiver/consent language, engagement letters or other such documentation

• Proactively communicate with department leadership on complex conflicts questions and other compliance issues

• Support on general conflict issues that may arise in any jurisdiction

• Assisting with information barriers and document security management as needed

• Assist with training firm Legal Administrative Assistants, lawyers and business services staff in understanding the firm's new matter intake, conflicts, Anti Money Laundering, and other compliance procedures

• Review and provide thorough and timely analysis of all new business in order to identify ethical and business conflicts of interest.

To help us build upon our success, we are seeking a Finance and Accounting Analyst (FAA) to provide financial stewardship, finance operations support and analytical insights.

Reporting directly to the Financial Planning & Revenue Operations Manager, the FAA will be responsible for month-end closing, financial reporting, management reporting — ensuring compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to spearhead improvement projects aimed at improving and streamlining finance process, as well as identifying issues for cost improvement. • Perform month-end closing activities 
• Perform full sets of accounts, including the consolidation of overseas subsidiaries, reviewing month-end closing entries and reporting packages from outsourced accounting providers, and maintaining accurate balance sheet schedules

RESPONSIBILITIES

The BA Analyst is the primary contact in REC IT for Finance & Project System functional areas. This person is responsible to provide solutions for business needs & support the day-to-day operations; by ensuring business strategy and operational technology needs are shaped and captured appropriately within the enterprise. Then transforming that areas strategic demands into a feasible set of projects, against resistance to maintain the status quo.

A successful BA Analyst must have at least 2-3 years SAP FICO experience in implementation project or support role.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS & SUPPORT

• Liaise with key users and Business Process Owners (BPO) to identify pain points and problem areas that require IT solution, then capture specific requirements, propose cost effective solution and implement.
• Support and / or challenge proposals in line with ROI, to ensure that projects or changes to status quo will deliver benefits prior to entering the design and development phase.
