A research assistant position is available at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. The successful candidate will work on the design and synthesis of composite materials for carbon capture applications. The research assistant should have experience in composite material synthesis and fabrication using solution chemistry methods. Desired skills include demonstrated experience with solution-based chemical synthesis, surface functionalization of materials (e.g., ligand exchange, polymer grafting), or polymeric composite fabrication methods. About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable individual who is able to work independently to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive administrative support and coordinate tasks with local/international counterparts

2. Handle written correspondence and phone communication, perform data entry, and provide ad hoc translation between English and Mandarin language

3. Assist in bookkeeping and act as an corporate secretary/director/agent from time to time

4. Assist in maintaining a strong team culture and smooth operation

5. Assist in the daily operation of a real estate portfolio

6. Other ad hoc tasks as directed

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2-3 year of experience in administration

- Fluency in English and Mandarin language (written and spoken)

- Reliable, ability to work independently, strong initiative

- Strong administrative and organizational skills

- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

- Experience with QuickBooks is an advantage

• To be involved in month-end closing and accounts reconciliation.
• Process employees' claims, IR8A, and all other related tax forms and filings.
• Responsible for CPF contribution/refund.
• Attend to enquiries from employees.
• Handle ad-hoc activities as and when requested.

Requirements

• Diploma in any discipline with at least 3 years’ relevant Payroll experience for Senior Assistant Executive.
• Meticulous with an eye for detail
• A team player with a positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Hands-on experience with SAP system and/or shared service payroll experience will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

Staffing

• Work with the hiring managers on manpower requests and ensure timely filing of vacancies.

Office Administration

• Managing office supplies, such as stationery and pantry beverages, ensuring adequate stock at all times.
• Liaise with external vendors and service contractors for administrative needs.
• Sourcing and purchasing of office supplies as needed.
• Issuance of staff uniforms, monitor and ensure timely replenishment of stock
• Coordinating weekly laundry service for soiled jumpsuits and ESD shoes & booties.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Basic Certificate in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar job scope, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Basic knowledge of the Employment Act and MOM regulations.
